Loud but works

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my basement. Within a day the basement smell was replace with a fresh smell. My only issues are the fact that it is pretty loud. Once our basement is finished we will have to turn it off to watch TV. Also it is very hard to clean. Some water still collects in the tank even when set up to constantly drain into the sump punp. Mold and mildew grow very quickly and there as a clear non removable cover over the tank with a small hole to pour out water. It is nearly impossible to clean.

It is normal for your appliance to make some noise when in use. This is usually from the compressor turning on and pulling moisture from the air.
A tip that can make cleaning the bucket easier is to align the handle with the slots on the bucket, and push the handle left or right to release it. Once the handle is remove, it will allow you full access to the inside bucket for cleaning.

Great for basement

Best on the Market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I am on the 3rd Frigidaire Dehumidifier over the last 20 years. The idea that you are going to buy any single appliance these days and it is going to last 20-30 years is over (not going to point fingers but with regulations, costs on fuel thanks to taxes, and everything being made overseas-it is hard to make an affordable product). This is a solid dehumidifier that will run hard. Ours runs 24/7 in our basement and does a great keeping the basement dry. For the price point and it functionality (it does what it is supposed to do) this dehumidifier cannot be beat. When this one dies, I will be getting another.
