Works Well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dehumidifier from a local appliance shop after reading the strong ratings for Frigidaire in this category. It works well in a basement setting. The unit turns itself on/off (including the fan) according to the relative humidity setting you select. I read a few negative reviews that said the fan runs continuously, but that is not the case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been running it for a few weeks and it seems to work pretty well. My only complaint is that the bucket can be a little difficult to take out and put back in. Other than that, very good machine!

Very Disappointed.. Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit has been running for about a month.. when I inspected it yesterday the water tube was bone dry. The display lights work, the fan runs, but it doesn't dehumidify.
Added warning..I bought this Frigidaire unit to replace an identical Frigidaire dehumidifier. That one failed two months after the warranty expired. Additionally, the electronics can't be repaired because the units are built in China and they won't supply parts to US appliance repair shops.
Let the buyer beware!

Thanks for your feedback, Rsc49! We are saddened to hear that you are disappointed in your appliance once more. This is not the type of experience we want for our customers. If your unit is no longer collecting water, check to see if the unit is securely plugged in. Make sure the unit is not plugged into an extension cord. If you are using an air filter or garden hose, we need to make sure it is clean and not clogged. If your unit is not set correctly the unit will not function properly, ensure the humidity setting (RH%) is low enough to produce water. The lowest setting most units can reach is 35%. If you are using an air conditioner in the same space as the dehumidifier, then the air conditioner is likely already dehumidifying the air and the dehumidifier will not remove additional moisture. Lastly, check your room’s temperature –most dehumidifiers will not pull moisture out of a cool area that is 41ºF or colder. Quiet and Great Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dehumidifier is quiet and it easily keeps our basement humidity below 55%. It is not a 5 star because the bucket does not fit perfectly. It takes some effort and wiggling to remove and replace it.
