It does its job

This dehumidifier has a hose attached to it so the water can be disposed of via a sump pump. Every day, the alarm goes off to clean the filter. There is absolutely nothing on the filter, you can see right through the grids.
The water that is being collected is cleaner than my tapwater. This unit was more expensive than the other unit (yes, I have 2 dehumidifiers and 2 sump pumps) which is a competitors, does the job it is supposed to do. I have not had a minute of problems with the other unit. The Frigidaire cost more money but I have to clean the filter which is already clean and is becoming a pain in the you know what. I can't afford to buy another one yet, but as soon as I have the funds, you can bet I will have another one of the same brand of my other unit. This really surprises me as I had a Frigidaire refrigerator that lasted 20 years. My current refrigerator is probably close to 20 years and I have not had a problem with either of them. However, these things are not made like they use to be.

Works Great So Far

This is the third unit I have had. The first one froze up after a year. The second froze up after 2 years. Frigidaire replaced the second and so far it is working fine. The test is to see if it still working after 2 years. I like the indicator reminding you that the filter needs cleaned. Also the window in the bucket so you can see if the water is close to being full.

best investment in a long time

Basement was damp and had an odor; windows were stiff to open as well as French door. We put this product to the test and it works great!!
So good thatwe invested in a drain hose to allow all night operation without having to empty the bucket half way through...

Time well spent

I did a lot of research into dehumidifiers--this one had great reviews and a lot of them. Which led me to believe that so many people can't be wrong--I purchased it on-line, plugged it in immediately upon receiving unit. Basement has never been so dry. Had to install drain hose kit as bucket was filling twice a night and shut off machine. Excellent unit esp. for the price.

Does not remove 70 pints/day as rated. Actual water removal is around 50 pints/day.
