Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my attic over my garage which is very humid because all of Houston is and I needed to keep the humidity down. I hooked a drain to the outside so I don't have to empty the water tank. Love the restart after power failure because that's another problem here. Good unit.

DOES NOT FUNCTION UP TO CLAIMS

This unit will only do 15 pints in 24 hrs on continuous run the claim is 70 pints

Not quite what I was expecting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this dehumidifier in a 1200 sq/ft basement that has block walls painted with dry lock to seal out moisture. About half of the basement is actually under ground. The other half is partly to not under ground. I use it as a wood working shop. The dehumidifier does work to a degree. I have it hooked up to a drain for constant operation but have not been able to get the humidity level below 50%. I can set the dehumidifier to 55% and it will cycle on and off from time to time, but setting it to 50% results in constant operation with on/off cycling. I have a separate humidity gauge that has not dropped below about 58 %. Overall, the unit has reduced the humidity levels down from 75% to about 55% according to the reading on the unit's display. But I must say that after reading the expressed capability of this unit under its description online, I was expecting a little more out of this unit. But overall, I'm happy with it. The air in my basement is definately better than it was.
