Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear the dehumidifier is working well, except for the buzzing noise. If you're hearing a “buzzing” noise this is most likely coming from the compressor and may indicate the unit is “seizing up” or “locking up” from running too much at too low of a RH% level. To correct this, unplug the unit and let it cool down, then set it for a higher RH% level and run for another 24 hours and listen for more noises. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this model one month ago after my other dehumidifier was struggling to keep the humidity near 50%. This Frigidaire unit works well in dehumidifying roughly a 600 sq ft area, which has a few interior walls and door (not an open space). I monitor the humidity with sensors in the other rooms. The unit, while not necessarily quiet, is quieter than the previous 50-pint dehumidifier. At least the sound quality is better.
