This is the best dehumidifier. Excellent capacity. A little noisy but worth the job it does.

Broke less than 8 months

Broke in about 8 months after running continously. They did provide a full refund, which was great but not impressed with build.

Stopped working after properly after 14 months

Purchased this unit in 12/14, it performed as expected until 2/16 (14 months). Then it started the slow process of less and less water extraction until I finally gave up last week. When it operated properly it would extract a full reservoir of water in a 24 hour period now it will not fill the bucket in a week with the humidity level rising in the basement. My issue is that it died right after the full warranty is up. The unit runs constantly but I cannot determine if the compressor is running correctly, it could be the compressor, the coolant, or the controls. Very disappointed and feel that I should not have to pay to diagnose whether the unit would fall under the compressor or sealed system warranty - should last more than 14 months...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect Performance

I bought this to handle excess moisture in the garage area (576 sq. ft. w/9/12 pitch ceiling/loft). At first I spent a lot of time emptying the bucket but it gradually kept it down without it, and this coming winter I will be using a hose so it won't be needed at all. I hadn't expected the fan to run all the time but that wasn't an issue since noise wasn't a problem, and the compressor only kicked on when necessary so its energy usage as listed is probably fairly accurate. I was very pleased with its performance, appearance, and the ability to relocate it easily!

Surprised by its performance

We had to replace our dehumidifier and was a bit skeptical of all the great reviews I read ... Oh was I wrong. We have had it for 3 months and it is worth every penny!

Does the job without a problem

We have two, one for the basement and one for the main floor of our house. It's amazing how much water these pull out of the air in a single day. I love the fact that they will fill up and turn off automatically, or you can hook up a hose and run it to a drain and never have to empty the fill container. But, even emptying the fill container is not a big deal--it slides in and out of the unit easily and has a handle for carrying to the nearest sink or toilet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
