A Very Thirsty Machine!

My 800 sq. ft. basement had a humidity level of 88%. After 1 hour of use, the level dropped to 55%. I have the unit set for a relative humidity of 45%. Works great!!

Does the job keeping humidity in the basement at around 40%. On occasion, it starts and stops a few times when the humidity is low before either running or shutting off.

Very efficient but a bit loud.

I'm not sure if I'm being picky, but this dehumidifier seems a bit loud to me. I know the newer ones are quieter than old ones, but this still seems a bit loud. Maybe I don't have a frame of reference.
Besides that, this product is fantastic. I'm using it in my basement (about 850 sq. ft) and it's on constant mode with a hose.
Recommended!

Works well but too much heat

Unit works well in regards to lowering the humidity. However it generates a lot of heat. Our pervious de-humidifier did not generate as much heat although it also did not work as well in lowering the humidity so this maybe a trade off all manufacturers have to make. Another minor issue is that the clean filter warning light came on even though the filter is clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Working Great

We are currently using our 70 pint capacity dehumidifier in our basement with the direct drainage to our submersible pump. Everything is working fine and it is completely maintenance free at this point, we have been using it for three months now.
