I go the dehumidifier for the basement and it works great so far. I have it on one end of the room due to having only one outlet down there, and it keeps the whole room nice and dry. As with most modern appliances, the whole thing is plastic, and has a cheap feel, but does a good job.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellant Dehumidifier

This product does an excellent job.
It quickly dehumidifies our finished basement. The 70 pint water tank saves trips to empty the tank---usually to water trees/bushes.
One issue I experienced is the handle broke but was replaced immediately by Fridgidare customer service.

the unit dries the air but would not cycle off for the first 7 weeks even though I changed humidity settings. Factory did offer to buy it back but it started working properly and nobody knows why.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The dehumidifier has done a great job in our basement as well as lower the overall humidity in the rest of the house. Our previous unit had trouble keeping up. Our house was definitely more comfortable this summer.

I bought this to replace a dehumidifier that was recalled. The Frigidaire keeps my basement dry during the humid summers. The design makes it easy to attach a garden hose.

Pretty good unit

I've had it a few months in my damp basement/family room. It's very quiet compared to other units I have owned. Easy control panel. Lots of choices for operation. Quick fill. Nice looking design. Slim, rolls easily, decent cord length. Fragile handle tabs - any stress other than a straight lift risks busting it. Tank is rounded in the back at the bottom, so it's hard to lift from the bottom and a bit sloshy if you just lift with the swinging handle because it fills almost to the top. It's awkward to empty. I busted the handle the 1st or 2nd time I emptied it because I held onto the handle - but I couldn't hold it with the rounded bottom easily. Company replace the whole tank immediately after I notified them. (They really could have just sent another handle - they need to redesign that handle). There is no clear "pour" area so it's hard to know the best angle to tip it to dump the water out. Clumsy design in that area. Still, it seems to work efficiently, is super quiet. It has a "clean filter" indicator, so I washed out the filter when the light went on. Easy job. Overall, outside of the awkward emptying, it's a unit that seems worth the price and does the job. I'm happy with it, especially the quietness.
