A Necessity for Florida Homes!

This is our first dehumidifier and I'm hoping/praying we won't have to replace it anytime soon. We are emptying the tank on this booger once to twice a day. The only cons are that the tank is very heavy to empty and I usually end up spilling some on the way to the sink. Also, the handle is plastic and held in place with more plastic, so it will break if you're not using more than just the handle to support it when dumping the water. Another con, or more appropriately, an unnecessary feature on this dehumidifier is the digital "barometer". It's never right, but what sense does it make to put a barometer sensor in a machine that sucks water out of the air???! LMBO!!! We purchased a separate barometer that we hang on a wall nearby to get a real humidity reading. I can say that this dehumidifier is, so far, doing it's job, but the real test has yet to come...Summer, when humidity is at it's highest here in the Sunshine State. If we make it through the Summer without an instance of mildew showing up on the furniture, we're good to go! ;-)

Bought in June 2014 worked well until April 2015 and stopped dehumidifying.

Reduced the humidity in my basement to the desired level much more efficiently and quieter than my older unit. Have had it for 7 months and have experienced no problems. Very happy with the purchase of this unit.

Seems to work as advertized. Have it in the basement so I don't hear it run. I have a hose going into the sump so I know it lowers the humidity.

Very Effective Unit

Gave it a four because we cannot hook a hose to it for drainage without leaking. Other than that....it runs great and quiet and sucks the moisture out of the air quickly

works great in basement

I had a damp basement in my home with musty odors. Within days of operating this unit in continus mode the damp Ness was controlled and odor is gone. unit is a bit loud but no more then a standard window AC unit. I don't here in on the main floor of my home.
