I bought this to replace another brand and find this one is a lot quieter than the previous one. Of course it works great taking care of the humidity, I love it.

works, but heats the room

bought over the winter to take humidity out of basement in summer months. Just began to use and it's working and was a terrific deal. One item is we don't run the ac in the basement and I find this unit does warm the air in the room its in.

Filter ends up covered in ice

This dehumidifier replaced a previous one,and initially it outperformed our expectations.Until the filter started icing over and caused the machine to run continuously.Have had to defrost it within 1 week,as the ice causes the water to back up and leak to the floor instead of collecting in the bucket.It is supposed to be cold temperature compatible,so I don't understand why we have the ice build up,and in hind sight I wish we had gotten one with auto-defrost as that seems to address the freezing.
Would not recommend for cold space humidification.

Replacement working ok
