Would not buy another LG fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just had to replace the compressor. The refrigerator is only ten months old. Noticed that the ice maker was not working and that our frozen foods were starting to soften. Had to start throwing away items for fear of getting sick when eating them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"Pleased as Punch!" Great Product

Went from a side by side to this new door in a door French style and love it. Doors open wide enough to easily puts things in and get them out. The "door in a door" feature is wonderful. I'm diabetic and I can get to my insulin easily without opening the entire frige. The quiet operation is great. You don't know it is there. We love it and have recommended it to many of our friends and will continue to do so.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Loud vibration from the compressor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice frig, but the friggin compressor causes the whole unit to vibrate. The noise is unbearable. No amount of leveling or use of anti-vibration pads helps.

Exceeded my expectations and anticipated my needs

Decided to buy an LG Refrigerator because I am so satisfied with the LG washer and Dryer I purchased 2 years ago. The refrigerator is so well designed. I love the water and ice dispenser. The water dispenses swiftly and the small Ice cubes go directly into the glass. The tray beneath the dispenser can be moved for larger containers and removed for easy cleaning. The refrigerator keeps everything at the perfect temperature. I find that my fresh fruit and vegetables stay fresher longer. Even raspberries.The display on the outside of the door shows you the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator, if filters need replacement, etc. The air and water filters are in an easy to reach spot for changing. The filtered water is so sweet and the air filters keep food odors to themselves. I was worried about the small Ice maker, but so far, for daily living, it has not been an issue. Inside the refrigerator is very easy to organize and well lit. It is very easy to find everything, even if it is packed with food. The drawers can be regulated for fruit, meat, deli, or vegetables. It is large enough for the occasional party platter and one shelf can be split to accommodate extra tall items. My previous refrigerator was a side by side and I was worried there would not be enough room in the freezer. What I have found is that it is very easy to organize and food is easy to get to quickly. I don't use the "ices basket" on a daily basis. I can see where it could be useful for parties or for extra organization in the freezer. I am not easily satisfied, but I can recommend this refrigerator with no reservations.

NOISY NOISY NOISY !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After just 1 year - and frankly throughout the last 8 months - this thing has become so NOISY. For a "Linear Compressor", we were SOLD on the suggestion that it would be very Quiet. It is NOT. It goes through weird cycles of being quiet, then all of a sudden very NOISY. Won't buy another LG product like this.

Few years with fridge it was great, started getting noticeably loud, then temperature started to fluctuate now it’s dead.

The latch for the door within the door is not dependable. Need to have some way to adjust the latch.

Freezer Broken After One Year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator for our new first home in July 2016, August 2017 the freezer breaks. Just stops working, had to throw away everything in there. Thought LG was a good brand, now I'm worried the other appliances we bought will break right away too (oven, microwave and dishwasher). Not happy at all.
