Shelf design is great on this product

I can keep everything in my LG lined up and in view so that it's easy to find anything and everything. The ice maker being located where it is does not take away storage space in the refrigerator. I love everything about this appliance from its good looks to its usefulness.

Overall Excellent, But Some Minor Issues

Overall this is an excellent refrigerator, and it is much better designed and quieter than the one it replaced. However, there are a few minor design "opportunities." First, the Glide N Serve drawer runs the entire width of the refrigerator. This requires the opening of both doors to use it. I would prefer two smaller Glide N Serve drawers. In contrast, the second design opportunity is with the fruit and vegetable bins. They are all too small to accommodate larger vegetables like celery. The middle bin is especially narrow. I would prefer to have the right two bins combined into a single larger bin. Finally, the external display panel shows the target temperatures that have been set for the refrigerator and freezer compartments. It would be more useful to see the actual temperatures inside these compartments.

Plenty of Space!

I bought this a few months back and was worried that we wouldn't have enough room as it is a counter depth refrigerator. I was wrong. There is PLENTY of space and we have a family of 4. The ice machine being in the door is the main reason for the space. It does not take up shelf space like other French door units do. And there is still room to place drinks and other condiments in that door without losing any space.
The bucket in the freezer is nice to have for when the ice bin gets full. That way you can store more ice and use it when you have get togethers. The water spout is a very nice feature because it allows you till fill up a big jug without having to fight to get into that little space that other refrigerators have. It is strategically placed so that any size jug or cup or holder will have no problems getting filled up.
The freezer also has ample space. The big drawer holds lots of food and the middle drawer will hold frozen pizza without issue. You can also place a few boxes of frozen pizza in the top drawer and still have space for other things. Although it is counter depth, this unit has plenty of space.
The temperature controlled drawers are also nice. They keep my veggies and fruits fresh and help them last longer. I have never had a refrigerator that has kept food as fresh for such a long period of time as this one has. The lighting inside is also great. LED lights help to keep the unit lit up so that finding things in the back is a breeze. The black stainless steel finish is amazing. No smudges or fingerprints. If you do happen to get some (not often as regular stainless steel) all it takes is a damp rag or paper towel and they wipe right off and its clean again. No need for chemicals or special wipes. This also holds the temperature settings. That makes it really easy. You can set the temp and whatever you set the freezer and refrigerator temp at you can bet that it will stay there. Great refrigerator with great features.

Good but drawers are too small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I purchased the largest fridge to fit in our space and this unit was perfect. We are very happy with it, but do have a complaint vs our old (smaller) refrigerator. The drawers. There are four drawers in total, a very wide but short drawer (helpful for storing a large tray perhaps) that is the width of the fridge. Then there are three medium height drawers which are just too small. I can't fit a stalk of celery in these drawers without jamming it diagonally. Instead of three drawers in this area of the fridge I would far prefer two larger drawers. Aside from this, everything about the unit is great. It's not noisy (and we're sensitive to noise), it's very bright, it's pretty easy to keep clean, and is solidly constructed.

Very nice, roomy counter depth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received this week. Overall we love it. The only issue we have with it is the 3 veggie/fruit drawers. Cannot understand at all why they designed with 3 small (actually somewhat hard to use) drawers vs having 2 more spacious ones! This probably wouldn't be such a big deal on the standard depth model but for a counter-depth it's impossible to get much at all in them.
It seems to be a well designed model.

Holds more than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great counter depth. Quiet. Holds quite a bit more than expected. door bins very roomy. Very happy with purchase. Water dispenser a bit difficult to use if you want to fill a tea kettle or tall water bottle. Small ice maker but with bin you can put additional ice in in the freezer. Best French door cabinet depth fridge we could find, though admittedly there are not a lot to choose from.
