A lemon of a Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally, LG products are good but not this one. It has had 8 service calls in just over 4 years of service. LG has been fairly good in paying for most of the service calls. This machine has not made it 18 months without a service call. I have no real confidence that this machine will last another 18 months without it being replaced

Currently Broken, but great while it worked

It’s under some sort of extended warranty based on a class action lawsuit so it’s being repaired but we are on day 12 without a refrigerator. Will not purchase LG refrigerator again.

I have had this fridge for 5 yrs this month. After only one year the compressor and cooling coils had to be replaced. Fortunately that was covered by my warranty. Now I’m having issues with ice building up inside the bottom of the fridge. I am having to empty it and defrost it. Fortunately I have a spare fridge.

Compressor failed twice

Compressor failed once in under 3 years, then the replacement (LG) part failed again 10 months later. Lucky I bought the 5yr warranty but hate the hassle and seeing this giant lemon go to a landfill.
