Has stopped cooling 3 times in less than 2 years

Love the fridge but beware the compressor

Died an Early Death

Then about 5 months ago I began noticing the freezer was building up frost then the refrigerator section was not keeping things adequately cold. It seems this is a known issue and so now my 4 year old refrigerator has completely died. I will never buy another LG it is scheduled for the landfill

Aesthetically pleasing, but have had problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: Love the looks and the 3 separate storage bins. We have the counter depth and it is a good size for two people. Might be too small for more than two. Overall fairly happy with fridge. However we have had problems with it. It’s 4 years old and for the past 6 months every night the freezer makes a loud banging noise which lasts up to a minute at a time. Noise will start and stop multiple times. I believe the sound is coming from the ice maker. The filter replacement signal also does not work properly. Our water flow was almost down to a trickle. We thought something was wrong with it. We replaced the filter and water flow was perfect. The filter replacement warning signal never came on. Only other flaw is the area around water and ice chute does get visible scratches after a while. Be careful using metal drinking bottles to get water because it will leave scratch marks. The earliest appointment for a service check is over a month away. Hopefully the freezer issue is minor.
