This refrigerators compressor went in 8 years. We thought it was the ice maker since the readout on the door said the freezer was -4 and the refrigerator temperature was 34. Everything defrosted and we lost a ton of food. I would not recommend buying LG

Poor Unit - 6 years and already not working

I purchased this new in November of 2017, stopped working October 2023. Compressor is out and LG will cover compressor but not labor. 6 years old with only two adults in the home will NEVER buy an LG product of any kind again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My LG refrigerator was an excellent product until the compressor went out. The refrigerator stopped cooling and all my food spoiled. This included all my refrigerated medication. It turns out the compressor failure was a huge problem for many customers and a class action lawsuit was filed that the customers won.

I bought my refrigerator in 2017 and it has already failed 3 times. LG doesn’t stand behind their product and refuses to cover the labor costs to replace the same component (the compressor) that keeps failing… not to mention the food that we have now lost 3 time. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone and would look for a better company that will respond appropriately if their product is junk.

I purchased this refrigerator in 2016. The compressor failed in 2023, was replaced under warranty, and then failed again about a month ago (out of warranty, and out of the ability for the Class Action lawsuit to compensate me for the repeated failure. This is not a reliable refrigerator

I bought this 5 yesterday 10 mo ago and loved it until the compressor started going out. It's not that old. It should last longer than that for the amount of money I paid for it.
