[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the LG refrigerator with the linear compressor two years ago and it the compressor went out. Good luck in finding a Appliance repair company that does warranty work on the linear compressor. We found out after talking several appliance repair companies, 1.) It can take up to 3-4 hours to replace, very labor intensive which is not covered by LG warranty and 2.) LG is very slow in shipping the parts and can take up to 2-3 weeks. What I heard from several Appliance repair companies to avoid purchasing appliance with the linear compressor, they have a short life and you will be forced in the short term in purchasing a different refrigerator replace your LG refrigerator. I wish there was a rating of 0 because LG refrigerator does not desire to be rated.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First service call under warranty. Service call six months later for same LG verified (error code) issue is not covered under warranty. Like spending for two refrigerators just to keep this bad one running. Buyer beware.

I've had nothing but problems with this refrigerator, service part repair after service part repair. Hundreds of $$ of food loss. I will never buy or recommend an LG fridge to anyone

The design leave a lot to complain about

The 3 vegetable drawers are not functional. They should have stayed with only 2. You cannot get a stalk of celery into the drawers. That middle drawer is so small, it makes no sense to have designed it this way. Ultimately, after only 3 weeks, water drips onto the top of the freezer drawer. Sometimes it leave a puddle onto the floor. After 1 hour on the phone with wait time outrageous, a service call was scheduled. Supposedly, it is the doughnut gaskets on the side and the astragal (which is back ordered). The refrigerator is being returned back to the store and another brand is being delivered. I would not recommend this product.

FAILED 1.5 Months Post Warranty

LG designers did this unit perfectly having it fail just after the warranty ends, literally 40 days after the 5 yr warranty on the compressor! Expensive fancy fridge that only last 5 years.

Repair twice and drawer cleaning issues

We bought the refrigerator three years ago. We have had it repaired twice. The first time is under the warranty and the second time is not. We replaced the main electric board and the compressor. And the drawer is impossible to clean if it gets stains between the clear plastic and the white plastic.

After experiencing a GE product that flooded my house. My goal was quality and reliability. After extensive research and getting recommendations from the retailer Loews I chose this high end LG product. After only 4 months I notice water leaking out of the doors. Frost and ice in the upper portion of the refrigerator. I called LG service which they arrange a technician to come to my house. After waiting for 4 hours they never showed. I called LG again. They arranged another servive company who contacted me and couldn't come for over a week. I called LG again and they found another service company who finally came. Motherboard, heating coial, defroster, and other parts needs to be replaced. In other words a rebuilt. Do no buy this refrigerator

Perfect fit

We have a small kitchen area for a refrigerator. This LG counter depth frig fits perfectly.
I especially like the ice maker, it does not take up a shelf space but fits in the door, some loss but not like our previous frig.
Easy to clean shelves. Good lighting. LG performance quality and reputation.
Price is a bit more than some standard frigs, but worth it because of the perfect fit.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
