DO NOT BUY LG---LEMON!!!
on July 16, 2019
Posted by: LGs are LEMONS
Bought 6 months ago... now not working at all. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, customers should be able to get a REFUND, not have to wait on a repair person. Do not waste your time or $$$ with LG. Customer service very accusatory in language, as if she was reading from playbook. I don't need someone asking me if I am sure the refrigerator is not working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died after two years

The fridge died after two years. It's been 7 weeks since I've had a working fridge because I am going through the LG warranty process now. The first repair attempt replaced the compressor - still broken. The second repair attempt failed because LG sent the wrong part. Also, the water dispenser looks like the female anatomy, not a pretty image when you're getting water. And my guests can never figure out how to use the dispenser without spilling water all over place. I am now waiting for LG to get back to me with an "alternative resolution." If I have the choice for a refund I will take that over a replacement.

Condensation Issues Since First Year
on August 22, 2019
Posted by: Rosales55
from Chicago, IL
Purchased the refrigerator December 2014 and started having issues the first month. The bottom tray started freezing our vegetables and ice blocks started forming. After the technician came out to fix the issue, we started to see the problem form again after 11 months. A technician came out a second time to resolve. When attempting to clear the ice blocks, he broke through the plastic wall with the ice pick. Sigh,
Recently, we started noticing heavy condensation on our vegetables again. Overall, we are not happy with our LG product. It's a shame because it looks great and fits the kitchen well. I just don't see us completing the kitchen with LG though.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use

Worst refrigerator I have ever owned

I bought this fridge in 2015, and just found out that nearly every major part has either failed and/or is leaking Freon. Cost to fix is nearly $2,000. Will never purchase an LG appliance again.
Pros: ease of use

Looks Only

Under 4 years old and has broken down 2x for their compressor. Customers are already paying enough for the small inconvenience capacity. One word for this fridge LEMON. Don’t purchase spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Beautiful to look at but buyers with children this is not smudge proof as advertised. We have a 17 year old $500 fridgidaire with ample storage that is still running today. Thank god we would’ve had spoiled food and living out of a ice chest thanks to this nice looking piece of junk. We will never make a purchase like this again disappointing and useless.
Pros: Style/Design

Less than 3 years old and stopped working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this new in April of 2017. I loved it until it suddenly stopped cooling a few days ago. I called a local appliance repair company who told me that this has been happening with lots of LG refrigerators like mine. LG claims it is no longer under warranty when clearly this is a reoccurring issue (search online and you’ll find countless reviews of the same thing happening to new-ish fridges).
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Product - Problems After 1 Year
on October 5, 2020
Posted by: jastcamp88

I am so disappointed with this product. I would have a hard time ever buying an LG product again. Where do I start? The freezer light went out twice because of a bad wire on the top of the right door. The ice maker continuously leaked water and would freeze. The freezer would drip water on the inside back and inside bottom then freeze. I always made sure the doors were closed, seals were clean, coils were clean, etc. This refrigerator has cause more stress and frustration than any appliance I've ever owned. Take a look at the most recent reviews for the refrigerator and that will tell the story. Obviously there was a quality issue with this model.
