Not working consistently after only 7 months

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loved it and used it often. This past week it stopped working entirely. When he plugged it in, the light came on and it seemed to charge but still didn't work. After a few days, I told him to try again. This time it worked (when plugged in) and then it briefly worked unplugged again. We are seriously disappointed with this product, as we expected Bose quality and durability. Kind of sad when you have to go back to an old (about 4-5 years) no name back up speaker when your new Bose speaker decides it doesn't want to work.

Bad battery

I bought this speaker 2 days ago because say 8 hours battery, but last night I used at my job and only work for 3 hours I'm very disappointed, let it charging all day and this is what happen.

Started off great ...but problems now

I brought this in Feb'15 and haven't used it a lot but when I have it has a great sound and very portable. However now it doesn't work - it will charge while plugged in but as soon as you unplug it from the power socket it won't turn on, the bluetooth light doesn't turn on and the metal piece on the USB charger broke so I am now using another standard USB cable. The re-set process doesn't work and when I access your updates page as mentioned in previous responses, the page cannot be found. Very dissappointing as this was a great product!

I bought mine on the recommendation of a few friends when I told them I was looking for a good Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality is exactly what you'd expect from a name like Bose. I have people stop by my desk at work all the time wanting to know what kind of sound system I have installed on my computer. They are amazed to find out I'm listening to music via a Bluetooth speaker.

Just Completed The Update Now Speaker Won't Power

I was reading over the reviews the problems with battery life and since my own battery did not last up to my expectations I decided to update my speaker. Now my speaker is dead!!! It is only a little over a year old with minimal use. I am really disappointed with this product.

Thank you for purchasing the SoundLink Color. We’re sorry to learn of the issue you have experienced and would like to assist you.

Quite often a system reboot will resolve this. To do so, with the system connected to power Press and hold the Play/Pause button for at least 15 seconds. While continuing to hold Play/Pause, unplug from power. Release the Play/Pause button. When you reconnect the power the unit should be working properly.

Very dissappointed with my purchase!!

I bought this unit a month ago never have used it until this past weekend. Took it fully charged to a family event. No matter how much I tried the unit did not want to connect via bluetooth. Lucky I brought a audio cord to connect. The battery did not last long only about 4 hours if that. The volume sound was not as loud as I expected it to be being that I own several different audios from Bose. I am going to contact the company to return this unit. I am not a happy customer right now!!!
