Disappointed

I received last Christmas, didn't really start using it until summer for camping and it has never held a charge longer than an hour. The sound quality is excellent, but we can't use it for what we intended it for.

The SoundLink Color should be the perfect accessory for your camping trips and at a normal volume level should provide up to 6 hours of music.
We're sorry to learn of your disappointing experience and would like to assist you. There are several things you can do yourself to be certain the system is working properly. First, examine the cable to be sure the connectors are intact. Next, please visit our update site, updates.Bose.com/SoundLinkColor to be certain you are running the most recent software. Let's reset the system by connecting it to the power supply, turning the speaker on, then press and hold the AUX and Volume - buttons for 10-20 seconds, until a tone is heard. Now turn the speaker on, and allow it to charge fully.
If after these few steps the issue persists, please contact our technical service team at 800-367-4008 for help. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST and we're waiting for your call.

I bought this speaker last year and LOVED it. The sound was great and I liked that it was so portable and durable but one day it literally just stopped working. It didn't turn on so I tried plugging it in but no lights or anything. I waited a few days and tried again and still nothing. I had the product less than a year before it stopped working. I thought that Bose would have a longer life than that.

Loved it at first.....

I received the speaker as a gift 6 months ago, and I loved it! Very chic, powerful speakers, paired easily, and held an 8 hour charge perfectly! I used it everyday. Then all of a sudden the speakers stopped charging when plugged into the wall. No matter what I do I cannot get it to charge and now this once fabulous speaker is sitting collecting dust. I am devastated as I was set to purchase another one to keep at work and keep mine for home. I truly loved it Bose, but now I am left with my disappointments and no background music.

That charging cable is very popular for use with non-Apple phones/tablets as well as many digital cameras. Let's try another cable and find out if we should be replacing the cable for you or looking at service for the speaker.

I bought a SoundLink Color for my friend and liked it so much, I bought another for myself. Great sound, easy to use, and so far us very durable. The size is perfect.

I have had this unit for several months. We have enjoyed it, the sound is what you expect from bose. Yesterday it would not turn on. Tried charging it with negative results..no lights, nothing. Very disappointed
