Terrible Bluetooth

Returned this unit after having for 2 days. The sound is good but slightest movement of the speaker or device and the uniter shutters, jumps and drops out. Horrific quality, will not bother with any of your soundlink products. Did however exchange Bose Dock XT.

Great while it was working....

Ive had the soundlink bluetooth speaker for a year and a half. Had no issues with pairing and was getting great sound, Until today I went to turn the unit on and now nothing. Charged it overnight, and still no power. Could be the battery is dead, but i have no idea how to open the darn thing. Dissapointing,,,

Needs proprietary USB Cable? Thumbs Down

Love the sound, could do without the greed. USB cable broke, tried using a known good "Standard USB" cable, no joy. Growing tired of companies and their proprietary greed.

Just to clarify, the SoundLink Color uses a standard Type A to Micro B USB cable which is available online or from any electronics store. The fact that a known cable is not working points to something else going on with the system, and we would like to help you with that.

Great Sound

Received this speaker as a Christmas present and it being a Bose I was not disappointed with the sound quality. The one thing that is disappointing is its not true stereo and some of the music gets lost. But as far as sound quality goes its great crystal clear with no distortion and easy to travel with.

GREAT SOUND HORRBILE CONNECTIVITY

WE ARE AUDIOPHILES AND WANTED GREAT PORTABLE SOUND QUALITY FOR PARTIES, FOR MY MASSAGE PRACTICE, KAYAKING, AND ANYWHERE THE RIGHT SONG WOULD MAKE THE MOMENT. THIS ITEM DOES A GREAT SOUND QUALITY. THE ADAPTER IS CHEAP,VERY FRAGILE, SMALL AND FALLS OUT. WITH THE ADAPTER NOT BEING SECURE WHEN PLUGGED IN, THE ADAPTER BROKE. WE PURCHASED A NEW ONE AND IT'S SNUG BUT I'M AFRAID TO BREAK IT AGAIN. THE CONNECTIVITY IS HIT OR MISS. WE HAVE TWO LAPTOPS AND ONE PHONE IN THE HOUSE AND IT WILL NOT JUST CONNECT TO ONE ITEM BUT FILES THROUGH THE LOT OF THEM, MAKING ME FEAR TAKING IT INTO PUBLIC. WHO WILL CONNECT TO THIS BLUETOOTH. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THIS ITEM. WE ALSO PURCHASED THE SECURE BAG FOR IT BUT THE MUSIC IS MUFFLED IF PLAYED IN THE BAG AND YOU CAN PLUG IT IN WHEN IT'S SECURED IN THE BAG. SO MUCH FOR SAFETY WHEN TRANSPORTING. THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE HAS NOT BEEN A GOOD ONE AS A FIRST TIME BOSE USER.

Thanks for writing a review. We're glad to hear you are enjoying the sound quality of the SoundLink Color. The speaker will only connect to other Bluetooth devices that you have paired it with. Taking the speaker to a public place will not open it up to anyone that wants to connect. After you have connected your devices, when the speaker is turned on, it will try to connect to the most recently used devices. Also, the travel bag for the Soundlink Color is only designed to add extra protection to the speaker while you are traveling with it, and will make the speaker sound muffled if you try and use it while it's in the bag.

Battery does not hold charge. Do not buy

The battery loses the ability to hold a charge within months. Always looking for an outlet to plug it in is annoying. Buy a product from a different company if you are looking for portability.
