Great sound! But random static?

My parents got me this speaker for Christmas in replacement of my old Beats pill that had stopped working. I immediately fell in love with the sound quality because it truly is amazing. However, it wasn't long before the speaker blared static one day when I went to use it. This happened a few times despite it being brand new so we exchanged it. Today I used the new one for the first time and it sounded great at first. After ending a phone call I went to play my Netflix again and it blared static. Even when I turned down the volume on my laptop, the static volume stayed loud and constant. I would've rated it 5 stars if it weren't for that. :(

Thank you for the review. We appreciate the feedback. The SoundLink Color should be delivering plenty of great audio with rich, deep bass and clear highs while maintaining a solid connection. You definitely shouldn't be having that static problem from one device, let alone two. One thing to look for is any other electronic devices near the system that may be interfering with it. We would definitely like to help you with this.

I was solo happy with it but the battery its bad

I have almost the same comments as VaBelleinTN. I bought the speakers on January and the battery last a lot of time! And when I turn on the speakers, I´ve never had a problem. The volume excelente and the connection amazing! I can leave with my cellphone to first floor without any problem because my house its not too big. But I leave my speakers charged for about 1 month and I want to used again last Wednesday and they did´t turn on. I charged it again and I tried to used it again and they didn't work. I charged it for 1 or 2 hours and I leave it again charged, but I did´t use it. I want to turn on again today and they did´t worked, so I plug it again and the speakers charged just a couple a minutes and I´m using it again. I´m worry what happen when you don´t use it everyday. What its the recommendation. I want my battery last for more time! thank you

We appreciate the feedback.The battery is designed to give you years of use from your SoundLink Color system, and you should definitely not be having trouble with the battery. One thing to do is to make sure the software is up to date, as that will reset the system and also recalibrate the battery status. The update is available here:

Love it except for when it dies!

I have purchased 2 speakers in the course of one year and now I guess I have to buy a third. The speaker and battery life is awesome and then about 4 months go by and the speaker just does not work or turn on. Different cords yet nothing happens and does not turn on or charge. So sad, I love this speaker and have turned on others.

Speaker is awesome, but the chargers are awful

I've had my speaker for about a year and a half and I absolutely love it, but the chargers are poorly constructed. I was able to get a replacement while I was still under warranty and now that charger is shorted too. I can't get a full charge without moving the cord around and it's aggravating.

Stopped working After 2 months of use

My girlfriend had bought this for me for Christmas. I didn't want a trendy bluetooth speaker I just wanted one with good sound and thats about it. For the first month I was very pleased with my speaker. It worked well sounded great and it was simple. But after about a month of use I noticed that when I tried charging it the charge battery light did not come on. so I unplugged it, tried several cords and several outlets to try to charge it. Still nothing. I tried turning it on. Nothing. So I just let it sit. I tried charging it a few hours later and everything worked again. I dismissed this as a one time fluke. But then it happened again. And again. This past weekend it died. For the past 3 days it has not come back on, it wont charge, nothing. Its now a rather expensive paper weight. I never thought i'd buy a Bose product that would die within the first few months of regular use. Somehow it just doesn't make sense, but now I wish I would have gone in a different direction.

We'd be frustrated, too. You should be able to enjoy this speaker for many years to come and the solution might be a simple one.
Let's begin with a reset, accomplished by connecting the speaker to the power supply, then turning it on and pressing and holding the AUX and Volume - buttons for 10-20 seconds, until a tone is heard. Turn the speaker on and verify your language selection.
You might also visit our software update site to be certain your speaker has the most recent version. Please follow this link to learn more: updates.Bose.com/SoundLinkColor.

No Charging...

As other customers, I gifted this unit to my wife on December 2015. She have enjoyed it and the sound is what I expected from Bose. I have other Bose products with excellent performance but today this unit would not turn on. She tried charging it with negative results... no lights, no turn on, no charging. Very disappointed... any solution...

We'd be disappointed, too. This is not the experience we want you to have and can definitely help you with this. The fix may be as simple as a reset, accomplished by connecting your speaker to power, then turning the speaker on and pressing and holding the AUX and Volume - buttons for 10-20 seconds, until a tone is heard. Turn the speaker on and verify your language selection. The speaker should be working properly.
This will also be a good time to check your software. Please visit our update site at updates.Bose.com/SoundLinkColor to be certain you have the most recent version.

Didn't last long

Have always been pleased with the Bose products, thought they were top quality. That's why I bought Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth speaker. Have had it 13 months and today it died. Very disappointed as this speaker is not cheap. The warranty is 1 year!! Surprise, surprise!
