I bought this speaker right before Christmas for myself since I heard a lot of good review on Bose products. The sound quality is awesome and easy to use but it died on me tonight after just a few month of normal usage. It wouldn't charge or turn on at all!! Very disappointed with the product !!

We have two

We bought these a year ago, because we thought we broke our JBL charge. Both speakers act like completely different speakers. The battery on one dies very quickly, while the other speaker often skips. Love the size and colors, disappointed with the quality for the price. We have had troubles connecting from different devices as well. I wish we would have gotten the JBL again.

Thank you for making the investment in Bose speakers. To have issues with this speaker are rare and we can understand the frustration with having two separate issues here. Let's find the best way to help.
1. With the speaker with low battery time, let's switch charging cables and see if perhaps the cable and not the speaker is the issue. If that is the case, we can easily replace the speaker for you.
2. The skipping on the second speaker could be a number of issues. The easiest way to narrow that down would be trying multiple tablets or smartphones on it to see if the issue can be replicated across different devices and applications.

WAS happy not any more

Was very happy untill i started to have problems with the battery. Would fully charge it and wouldn't wanna turn on unless it was plugged in... that was not a bother but when it didnt wanna turn on at all thats when i became unsatisfied. I love bose and their products but this is a let down.

We wouldn't be too happy either. We can definitely help you with this as there may be a very simple solution.
Let's begin with a reset, accomplished by plugging the system in and turning it on, then press and hold the AUX and Volume - buttons for 10-20 seconds, until a tone is heard. Turn the speaker on and verify your language selection. To select English, press Play/Pause and hold.

Great compact speaker!

We bought the white version last weekend and have been very impressed. Color options are great. Easy to set up and use. Sound quality is surprisingly good for its size. Our only complaint is the bass is a little weak. At the same time it may not be possible to have strong bass on such a small speaker. Good price point too!

I´ve had the system for less than a year and the battery doesn´t charge anymore. It loses the whole purpose of having a portable sound system, now that I have to connect it to the wall every time I want to use it

It's a great speaker--

It is impossible to complain about this speaker. There is a clear hierarchy of speakers that Bose produces. Each have one thing in common-- incredible clarity and integrity for the given volume. Obviously, this is the smallest of the speakers they offer; it has the 'smallest' volume. Even still, for any inside environment, you will have to turn it down to have a conversation. In terms of outside, it does the job just fine for a 'campfire' environment (that is, people being close together/in a circle). If you are looking for something beyond this, Bose does have other larger speakers available. The soundlink color is a gem, though. Get the little carrying case bag and you have a portable little dynamo. Solid build, too!

good and bad

received my bose color 4 months ago and already have had 2 faulty connectors. does not hold a charge more than 2 hours, so really is not portable. I only use on desk at work 3 days a week but has to be plugged in most of the time. poor design where the connector attaches to speaker. now the good news. love the color, red. most of all the sound is fantastic! DBM

connecting 2 speakers?

I was SO happy about the excellent 'Bose'-sound, that I purchased another speaker...BUT...this doesn't work...how can I connect 2 speakers to 1 source???

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear how happy you are with the Bose sound of the SoundLink Color. The SoundLink Color speakers use a one-to-one connection so there is not a way to connect two SoundLink Color sources to one source and listen to the same audio from both at the same time. However, with the SoundTouch products, you can listen to the same audio from as many speakers as you have connected to the WiFi network.
