Easy to install. Very good sound quality for the price. Just what I needed for my 40" Samsung TV. The only complaint I have is that it does not work with the TV remote you have to use the sound bar remote and program it for your tv. I will never understand why if every product I have is made by Samsung I can't run them all off one remote. Other than that its a very good product for the money.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: needs separate remote
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sound and setup

I was really pleased with the sound quality of this sound bar the instant we set it up. So much so my In-laws went out and purchased one as well. However, what I don't understand is why the set up instructions are incomplete! I happened to have the correct HDMI hook up on the back of my Samsung TV to use the bar right out of the box. My In-laws weren't as lucky and we couldn't figure out how to get the system to work with their TV. So we had to head to store to ask someone what to do and low and behold you a special cord to hook it up to the TV. Absolutely NO mention of this type of cord was mentioned in the directions. What is the story with that?

Using the 2.1 Channel Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer has improved my sound quality immensely when streaming movies.

after looking for days at sound bars I settled on the H550 it had all the features I was looking for I hooked it up in under 30 min and the sound is great for a small size bar I have it with my 60 in sony 850 very crisp and clear sound even the voices are clear the sound fields are very good also could use a bit more thump from the sub for tv watching but with a Blu-ray playing this bar rocks and there is plenty of thump there turned up the volume during a movie to 25 and my floor was shaking and I have a good size living room overall I am very happy with this unit it`s a keeper...thanks Samsung
