A Future Classic

Twilight Princess reinforces the innovation of the video game powerhouse known as Nintendo. Since the original NES, Zelda has been synonomous with excellence in the gaming world. Twilight Princess takes a classic adventure archetype and beefs it up with improved graphics, gameplay, and even some humor. This version bein on the Wii takes sword swinging and bow hunting to a whole new level. There is nothing more satisfying than hewing down evildoers with a flick of the wrist as opposed to button mashing. With the Wii-mote tasks such as aiming become not only easier but more fun.
The storyline of Twilight Princess is certainly something that shouldn't be skipped over. With new intriguing characters such as Midna and Zant, a more in depth experience takes place within the game. Bringing the world out of twilight, Link encounters many trials that compounded together make for quite the epic game. As time progresses and the plot fleshes out, the gamer comes to realize that this game is more then a hack and slash adventure game. Puzzles, exploration, and the occasional jocular dialogue take Twilight Princess beyond the stereotypical moneymaking game of the week. Overall, Zelda: Twilight Princess is more than a rehashed classic and I certainly look forward to a future installment

My First Zelda

from Zelda land!
Hi.
This being my first Zelda game ever played and being played on my first nintendo system ever purchased. Never was a fan of nintendo in the early days, but now since the wii came out, my whole perspective has changed. I can't wait to get all the other Zelda games previous to this one just to see how it all started.
Every one said that this was the game to get if you had a wii, so i rented it and found it to be a bit slow in the beginning. Of course, how many great games have tutorials to introduce you to basic moves that start out slow? Well, most i'd say. Once I got past the opening part of the game, then it got interesting. The game play is very unique and some what tiring, but still keeps you wondering what's gonna happen next. I love the interactive qualities of the wii. can't get enough of it.
Too bad I rented Zelda instead of going with my initial instincts of just buying it in the first place.
What's great about it: Easy to use controls on the Wii
What's not so great: Camera movement

This classic title brings new innovative techniques using the full power of the Wii system. This is by far in the race for best game of the year. Smooth graphics, soundtrack is outrageous, you nearly feel like your actually in the land of Hyrule. Shigeru Miyamoto "founder of the Zelda series" trully out done himself with this version of the franchise. A must have for all true Zelda fans and if new to the game it's highly reccomended this is added to the collection.
What's great about it: Never a dull moment, always something to do
What's not so great: Not enough hours in the day to play it :(

Twilight Princess on the Wii is, in my opinion, the best Wii game I have played so far. Many people would have everyone think that the Wii cannot display great graphics, but I found the visuals in this game to be absolutely stunning. The storyline is full and immersive, spanning several large areas to explore, the characters are well developed, and the gameplay itself is not difficult to pick up, even for the novice gamer. I listed the length of the game as both a pro and a con, it really depend on what you prefer. For me, I enjoy a game that takes a while to play through, but you may prefer a game that you can finish quickly. The replay value of this game is also a question. Once you have beaten it, more than likely, you will not replay it. It idoes not have inherent replay like a sports game might. While it is true that the game was not developed solely for the Wii, the control scheme that was added during the later stages of development brings some nice elements to the gameplay. For fans of the Zelda series, this is not a large departure from previous titles, but is a nice continuation of the series with a few small changes. Be prepared for the classic puzzles combined with fighting action. The swinging of the Wii remote controls Link's sword nicely, albeit not as precisely as some would like, which does lead to some wild swinging to bring down enemies. The Wii's controllers feel very natural in the hands and help make for a comfortable playing experience that I often found myself lost in until the wee hours of the morning...
What's great about it: Immersive, Long, Challenging
What's not so great: Long, Replay-ability

This installment in the Zelda seris is just like the rest. Amazing. You have a well written plot combined with all new gadgets like the double hookshoot and water bombs. To top it off you are a werd wolf of deminsions. You change between the real world and the world of twilight(even though you eventually get the ability to change whenever). Even through these new things you have the classic ligh arrows and Gannon. But all these things are hyped up by the Wii's controls. You aim arrows, swing your sword, and roll. All with the wii-chuck. This game lasts over 30 hours and there are many side quests.
What's great about it: Well written plot, Great controls, Excellent Graphics, Long Adventure
What's not so great: Dungeons repeat ideas, Bad save spots(moves you around)

This, in my opinion, is the best Legend of Zelda game out so far. There is an emphasis on light and shadow in this game which gives it a very deep ominous feel to it although it is very fun to play. There are many ways (like fishing) to use motion interaction with your wii remote to play the game.
What's great about it: Immersive gameplay, Great visuals
What's not so great: only up to 480p widescreen video output on Wii

I bought this when I bought my Wii. After a few rounds of Wii Sports to get into the groove of how the wiimotes work, I gave this game a shot. It jumps pretty quickly into some entertaining game play. Riding the horse for the first time was fun. Getting your first sword is always cool. Moving forward, there are some mini-game style events that have been entertaining. I like the sumo wrestling and the big horseback battle. I would recommend this game to anyone, Zelda fan or not.
What's great about it: Good graphics, entertaining storyline, just plain fun.
What's not so great: Some NPC art could be better.
