Canon MX452 multi printer

I had a Canon ipx4300 printer that was the BEST printer I have ever owned. After about 8000 pages the print head clogged so I decided to get a replacement Canon. I purchase the MX452…it has two cartridges as compare to the 5 the 4300 had.
I am EXTREMELY DIS-SATISFIED with its ink consumption. To be kind it is an INK PIG !
This will be my last Canon !
Pros: excellent print quality
Cons: ink consumption is terrible, web site is poorly designed

What, no display panel light?

New printer installed two days ago, works, but not comfortably. Why on God's Good Earth would Canon not illuminate the display panel with a two cent LED? Having to use a flashlight to see the display is just plain dumb. Had I known there was no display light I would not have purchased this model. Double Darn!
Cons: Difficult to use

This Printer is more troble than its worth

WiFi was working fine for a month. Now we can't get it to work at all. I hook it up to USB. It Work good. Today it decides not to scan. I turn the Printer off. Still didn't work. I turn the PC off and it still didn't work. I reloaded the soft ware and it still doesn't work. This printer is like new and hasn't printed or scan over 100 copys in it life..

the exiting paper tray isn't long enough when extended so everything falls on the floor. And whose idea was it to display "please wait a while" when an error occurs or it needs to think about things. And the command buttons for copy, scan, aren't clear enough. You could have used words. Speakanyenglish

I would not buy another one. The alignment for the PIXMA MX 452 is off and I don't even see a manual to adjust it. I have already tried the options on the printer menu.

Has the basics you would expect now-a-days

I can't print in draft mode. And the ink isn't exactly lasting as well as I had hoped. I am forced to print in normal mode or high quality. Printing is therefor very slow. If you are not in a rush to print tens of pages, it shouldn't be a problem. And if you don't mind buying ink cartridges left and right, then no problem.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, printing in draft mode disabled

My dad bought me this printer (I'm a student, so I'm in constant need of essays. outlines. and notes printed), and I feel bad that he spent the money on this piece of garbage. It jams like No one's business, WiFi connectivity doesn't work, and when you finally do get it to work, your prints have overlapping text and it's just awful. Save yourself, and don't buy this product, unless you intend on giving it to your mortal enemy.
Pros: none
Cons: jams, wifi connectivity doesn't work, slow printing, awful

At some point it decided it no longer wanted to save docs to my pc as PDF. Then it refused to scan from the machine, had to go through Devises and Printers on Start menu to initiate scans. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Canon support and they put the blame back on my firewall even though I have not made any changes to such. Now it is offline and I am not able to print from either my pc or laptop. I have attempted to change default, reinstall printer and software on both products to no avail. What a cheap piece of plastic! My last Canon for sure.
