Not a good buy

always having problems. have never been able to use the fax.
Ink cartridges way too expensive. I buy the xl, can't tell the difference compared to the reg.
Margins change when printing documents wirelessly.
Had a cannon camera I used for years, great quality, I loved it. That was why I chose a Cannon printer. Used for less than a year, but time for a change.

It suddenly stopped working right in the middle of printing a documents. I have tried everything. I am taking it back.

I want to say that I had an older canon and I loved it, so I got the MX452. I figured it would be easy enough, like the other one, but it was not as easy, even with all the pretty instructions. I also had a problem with receiving faxes. It seems it has to reset itself and I have to wait. Also, the paper holder that spits out the printed paper does not have an extra extension and the paper falls on the floor. Also, some of the print looks sort of like italics...not sure if it's the ink cartridge or the printer itself. Otherwise, it's pretty fast and makes nice prints, so I will keep it. I mostly need it for school. Canon just needs to fix the dings and it should be a better printer.
Pros: reliable, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer consistently misreads paper and will not feed.
I am seriously frustrated with it's performance... nothing I do seems to make a difference in how the paper feeds...message out of paper is the standard all the time

Great after 45 min of fussing with it everytime

If you are jn the market for a printer that will test your network and problem solving skills this is the printer for you. If you plan on just hitting print and boom your pages start Think again. It prints fine but can litterally take 30 min to get it to print. If you have to print multiple things forget it.

Better than I expected

I wanted to upgrade from my 430 series, which was outstanding for my mobile use. I was so pleased with it, I took one step up and put the MX452 in my home office and am quite pleased with it.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

WE SET THE PRINTER UP, SET UP WIRELESS CONNECTION WITH OUR DESKTOP UPSTAIRS . IT HAS THE DVD ACCESS UP THERE. THE PRINTER WORKS ONLY FOR THAT COMPUTER . BUT-TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CONNECT IT TO OUR LAPTOP DWNSTAIRS .I MEAN THATS WHY WE BOUGHT IT WIRELESS RT? TO USE IT WITH BOTH COMPUTERS IN OUR HOUSE BK AND FORTH ETC ETC..WITHOUT WIRES..BUT THE LAPTOP DWNSTRS DOESNT HAVE DVD ACCESS . SO USING THE CANNON WITH THE NON-DVD ACCESS ISNT AN OPTION, WE TRIED OTHER OPTIONS TECHNICALLY. NOTHING WORKED.SIGNAL WONT TRANSMIT TO DWNSTRS LAPTOP TO PRINT.WE ARE PACKING THE PRINTER UP AND RETURNING IT ,GETTING OTHER BRAND AS A REPLACEMENT . I SPENT 3 HRS TRYING TO ESTABLISH CONNECTION FROM THE PRINTER UPSTAIRS TO THE LAPTOP DWNSTRS. WITHOUT USEING DVD . IT AINT HAPPINEN.......ALSO, I CANT SEE WHAT IT SAYS ON TOP WINDOW OF PRINTER. IT NEEDS A LIGHT! AND THE WORDS ARE TINY??

Cons: it needs an online program you can access, to replace needing a dvd so, people can set up the printer on any computer?
