AFTER USING THE MX420 AND BEING VERY SATISFIED I DECIDED TO GET A SECOND ONE FOR MY CHILD. NOT THE SAME. POOR QUALITY, FLIMSY, SCANNER KEEPS CRASHING. DRIVERS HAVE BEEN UPDATED ETC..
Cons: Slow Print Speed, unreliable

PRETTY GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE $$$

I HAD NO ISSUES AT ALL................AS SOON AS I SET MY WIFI PASSWORD, THE PRINTER IMMEDIATELY (WIRELESSLY) PRINTED MY DOCUMENTS AND PHOTOS PERFECTLY. THE CANNON QUICK MENU IS ONE OF THE BEST AROUND AND CLEARLY IDENTIFIES ALL FUNCTIONS (COPY, FAX, SCAN, PRINT, TROUBLESHOOT, ETC.). YOU HAVE TO USE THE QUICK MENU; I KEEP IT ON MY DESKTOP. DON'T TRY TO SELECT AND COMPETE YOUR FUNCTIONS USING THE SMALL SCREEN ON THE PRINTER!!
MY JOBS ARE COMPLETED QUICKLY AND THE PRINTED PRODUCT IN VERY GOOD. IT IS A LITTLE NOISY AND IT'S NOT LIGHTENING FAST, BUT IT IS A PRETTY GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE PRICE.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed

Print/Fax

I'm going crazy because no matter what I do the printer won't print it because it doesn't get the message to print because the computer won't come out of FAX mode and no matter what I do I can't get it out of FAX mode....and the help site is impossible to deal with
Cons: can't change from fax

Poor quality printer

The wireless feature doesn't work most of the time. The printer gets stuck in the middle of printing and doesn't continue to print the document. I tried to connect is with a USB cable as well, this also didn't help.
I have been trying to print 2 pages for 2 hours, but I was only able to print the 1st page so far.
Poor quality over all. it's cheep, and even that is too much of a price for it.

"My Printer Can't be Beat for the Price"

The unit was very easy to setup and get started printing, I find that a lot of the remarks made by many purchasers are unfounded, and totally untrue, my printer works great, give it a try I think you will not regret it, Also I think some of the poor ratings were from people with a poor understanding of how to configure the printing, a lot of the comments came from owners with operator error!!!!

Best Purchase Ever

This is one of the best printers I have ever purchased. I read the earlier reviews and I don't know what these consumers are complaining about. I had my printer for over a year now and it still continues to give me the best print quality. Wow....just discovered it has a quiet mode. As far as the ink consumption....I was low on ink and did not have to change the cartridge until a few months later and meanwhile printer still delivered good quality prints. I would definitely recommend this printer.

Love it and bought a 2nd one

We bought one for my wife's business office and loved it! I bought one for my home office and have had no problems whatsoever using them for printing, scanning, faxing, and small copy jobs. I did read one review where someone was having multi-page scanning problems, but we've not had those problems. I just scanned 74 pages for a medical claim with no problems at all. I did have one problem when it wouldn't allow me to use the document feeder for copying or scanning but after reading the directions found that I had changed the image from a manual setting to "auto"--won't work! I should have paid more attention but when all else fails, read the directions--again! Though rarely I do print the occasional photo and it does a beautiful job no matter the size or border/borderless. Both our machines are being used in the wireless mode and we print from computers as well as our iPhones with no worries. I highly recommend Canon gear and we could not be happier with our purchases. And the installation? Easy! I did have to change the destination folder of scanned documents, but that's it.
