USB yes, WiFi no

The printer works just fine with USB, but if you have more than one computer on your WLAN that is the reason for a wireless printer. Well, set-up has been laborious, unreliable and just frustrating.
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed, great for a single computer
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable, wifi is a nightmare

Worst Printer Ever

I bought this printer for light use. I should have known better. I stopped buying Canon printers 10 years ago because of their poor performance, but thought this 452 fit my needs and I would try it. It eats all the paper in the tray at once. Then I have to unplug it, turn it upside down, open the bottom and pull out the paper. It MIGHT print if I put in one sheet at a time. DUH!!!! After only 3 months of minimal use, the printer is misaligned and I can't even do an alignment check. The printer stops halfway through the alignment check and I get an error message. Deep cleaning, checking the roller, etc-made no difference. Well, I am going out today to replace it--it is a piece of junk.
Pros: price & light weight
Cons: hardly works at all

A useless piece of garbage

I have been using computers for years (even built a computer and ran Linux on it some years ago), so I'm not a newbie. I have downloaded the scanner drivers for OS X from Canon's site and it still will not scan from Photoshop Elements 8 (which I use on my desktop) or even from the Canon apps on my iPad. Will be returning this device as soon as I can.
Cons: Difficult to use, Large Footprint, Difficult Setup, scanner won't work

Useless product. Prints part of a page or nothing at all and won't even display an error code. No help on the canon website or elsewhere to fix it myself and I'm not paying to have this piece of junk fixed.
Cons: unreliable

Can't see the display...need a flashlight every time to read the screen. Error code 5011 common...this time nothing seems to correct it and just bought $50 ink when my other ink was probably fine.
Cons: Difficult to use, unreliable, Flimsy Construction

Great, for what it is

This is a great printer for what it is. Yes the print speed is slow, but the output looks sharp. Quick setup, easy to print from a computer or mobile device. If your office needs a lot of docs, get something else. But for the occasional print, this is great.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed

Had trouble setting up the wireless so plugged in USB and worked fine. Trying to do a simple scan and can't seem to get it to work. No instructions at all other than setup. Too bad really liked my non-wireless canon multipurpose machine.

Disappointed Canon User

The MX452 is my 4th Canon printer, and my first time disappointed. I've had it over 6 months. Wi-fi works occasionally at best. Forget the Airprint option. Switched to usb connection. Still get intermittent printer not responding messages, sometimes 10 minutes after successfully printing a previous document. Poor quality printer for a Canon. Reasonable price, but not worth the headaches.
Cons: unreliable
