Perfect

We've had this printer for a couple of months and it works perfectly with my laptop, desktop (direct connect) and smart phone. It is fast, and the print quality is great. I can't imagine anyone wanting anything more.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed

Disappointed

Long time Canon customer. Purchased MX450 about 9 months ago, worst performing printer I've owned to date. Never really functioned properly using wireless, so connected via usb. Still prints only intermittently, often getting printer not responding error. Works again after unplugging, but often only for a short period of time. Airprint capability rarely works. Scanning functionality just as bad and not user friendly. Big believer in user reviews, but rarely write one myself. So dissatisfied with this product I couldn't resist.
Cons: very unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stops mid-job, thinks it's done

Works OK part of the time. I try to print 2-sided most of the time to save money and resources. The printer will often stop part way thru the job, thinks it's done printing. When I observe the print queue, it shows all the remaining data being sent to the printer right after it stops. If I try to recover the job by running pages thru again set to reverse, even or odd only, only print range, it's either just to complicated or it stops again in the middle. Not sure if this is an Adobe problem, I don't think so.

Best printer I ever bought

I bought this as a quick solution to a growing problem with another printer. It was cheap and easy to set up and has become my go to printer. Very very happy with my purchase!

Great printer for the price

I bought this printer three years ago, and have never had a problem. It does all the printing I need to do, which is less & less these days. When this one does eventually die, I will buy another Canon product.

Prints Out Both Letter & Legal Sized Pages

I've had this for at least seven years... and it continues to chug along! I bought a new printer from a different brand and was sorely disappointed that it could not print out legal size pages (11"x14"). But this Canon Pixma MX-452 has no such problem, and prints faster, and still works after seven years! And it scans all sizes of documents up to 11" x 14" through the ADF. I would have given it five stars IF it could AUTOMATICALLY print duplex and if the ink didn't run out so quickly. Sigh! Otherwise, I'm really happy with its performance.
