I think it is excellent!

Gosh on windows 7 and 10, I got this printer up and running fairly fast, even wireless.
I watched a youtube video on it. The print is excellent. The speed is excellent. I don't know why the other reviews are so frustrated. I own 6 printers and this is my favorite.

Canon Pixma MX922

Every printer I have ever owned (6 so far that I can remember) has been a Canon, with the exception of an Epson I bought because it had much bigger ink cartridges. Does Canon make a 'simple' printer with larger ink cartridges?
Also the directions are horrid. There is no 'user friendly' when whomever wrote the directions. I have to read much more than I want, spend too much time finding what I don't understand when trying to do a task ie; scan, copy double sided documents.
I normally bought Canon printers for their simplicity & easy to learn directions.
Yes I would recommond Canon printers, but you must have patience & loads of hours to learn how to run it as designed.
It was my job to write users manuals when I worked at IBM. Simplicity sells better than encyclopdic searches.

Love my MX922 printer!

I bought this printer in the summer of 2016 and once set up this printer is fantastic. The setup was not really difficult and there are even YouTube videos to help if you want some extra help. I haven't found one problem that other posters have mentioned. Perhaps those were from competitors because I'm not all that knowledgeable about wifi or even computers, but I can follow directions, and it took all of about 1 hour to finish setting up. The machine does not use all that much ink. Today is the first day I've changed cartridges (Jan.23rd, 2017). With that being said, I don't need to print but every few days. I've used the scanner and copier with excellent results and the MX922 sends the scans back to my computer quickly.
So if you can follow the directions to setup the printer wifi portion you will be a happy consumer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Quality and Easy to Use

I have owned it for about eight months. Always works very well!
To begin with, I never had to spend any time installing apps and adjusting settings because I have a MacBook Air computer.
All I did was plug it in. The computer automatically found the correct driver and installed it. The settings are all very simple.
Everything that this printer prints is high quality. I could not be more pleased.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the computer 3 years. It used to work fantastically for all purposes. Now, they do NOT support the software with drivers that work with OS updates on MAC. They claim they do, but, in reality, your MAC will "lose" this printer and you will have an endless series of "printer not available, doing other tasks" messages, uninstalling, reinstalling drivers and this may or may not work for a little, until it breaks again. PATHETIC and I don't think I would ever buy another Canon as a result of their failure to be able to create and support an printer that prints. You had one job Canon. One.

I've had a BEAR (most difficult printer I've ever installed) of a time getting it to work. After the 1st of 3 install attempts the scanner was not recognized. 2nd attempt I could not get the USB connection to work. After install #3 I tried to print an 8X10 photo and I got a print 2/3rds finished & the rest on the 2nd sheet. I can't get it to copy using the duplexer.
My ratings:
Ease of install - less than a "1."
Ease of use - 3 or 4.
Print quality (using OEM inks & Canon Glossy Photo Paper - 9.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product is slow, uses ink by the quarts, is so noisy it is distracting, constantoy adusts itself. I was very disappointed in the product. Will not use Canon printers again.

Impossible to work

Stay away from this printer, it is impossible to work, instructions not clear. If you are not a computer professional you will not get this to work. My problems are software related, the printer may be fine but don't plan on using it for the claimed features it offers. Very disappointed.
