My MX922 Printer

I have had a few printers in my time, good, bad, and worse going all the way back to the 70’s. The MX922 that I now own I would have to say is one of the best.
Pros: easy to setup and use., good looking., no problem with printing or scanning., produces excellent photos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this printer for over a year now .So far .its been performing flawlessly = No jams , no freezes , not even ink gulping . This is by far the best printer I ever had ,and I've had quite a few ,given my extensive , and untimely use of 'em.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really? Gripes?

Really? Does nobody read the manual and/or download the latest drivers? This thing works perfectly. Unless of course you refuse to read. Any product that performs to this level requires a little investment of their time.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Solid printer

I've had the 922 for 2 years. It's not perfect, it thrashes around a bit (noisily), particularly right after power up and sometimes takes a while for the first page to print (I think this is a function of printing last page to first so they collate when they arrive i the tray). But the output is excellent, both text and photo, and it rarely misses a beat. Fax is simple (it took a while to teach it to not answer the phone). Scanning excellent.
It eats ink, particularly the startup cartridges. They all do, the dirty little secret about the breed. but for trouble free, consistent output, this is the best all-in-one I've ever had.
Pros: reliable, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: ink cost
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do not recommend this product

I am very disappointed with the Wireless Pixima MX922. Majority of times it does not work, when I need it most to print something important ink is down, and I get a lot of errors for which I can not find troubleshooting steps. Sadly, I can not return it anymore.

Very Hard to print envelopes
on October 14, 2014

If you want this Product for Printing envelopes , ITS NOT GREAT VERY DIFFICULT.....Ill explain more. If you want this product for Printing Photos or Fax or Scanning Its Great ...
They took away the rear tray that made it really easy to print envelopes. They make you use the bottom try now and that means if you want to print 1 envelope you have to pull out all the paper in the bottom tray and input the 1 envelope print it and then go back to the printer and put all the paper back.
This is a BIG PAIN. Also when printing envelopes that are thick or small or have large seals on the back, It seems to get stuck or jam or mess up. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Photo printer yes, All-around printer NO

For as heavy as the unit is, there is too much flimsy plastic involved. The biggest problem with this printer is printing an envelope. I used to own a Canon Pixma MP560. If I wanted an envelope or two, all I had to do is put the envelope(s) in the rear feeder and presto! I had printed envelopes without any trouble. If I want an envelope with the MX922, I need to remove the normal paper tray, remove all the paper, adjust the tray sizing, make sure that the envelopes are nice and neat and straight.......you get the picture. Then, having put the envelope in the tray, put the tray back in its place and pray that it prints the envelope. I just tried it 3 times............NO envelopes print. Having seen high ratings at various websites, I have to wonder what the other users bought this for. I bought it to replace a Canon product that served me well, with the exception that it could not be started remotely like other printers I have had. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with this unit, and will do my best to return it without losing to much money on the return costs. My recommendation is, if you need a normal all-in-one printer for normal business use.......this is NOT the one for you!

great printer, but it is always off line. I must unplug and replug it in to print.
I have it connected wirelessly, so it is a lot of trouble.
Turning it off and on does nothing, I must unplug/replug it to fix
