Horrible to scan with.
on December 15, 2018

This printer gives me nothing but issues when I attempt to scan, every single time. The printing is ok, nothing amazing & the ink runs out fairly quickly (but that's usually the case since they wouldn't make money otherwise). However, if you're going to get this to scan... find something better.

Ink pit!!

I have owned this printer for about a year and have printed probably less then 100 plain black and white and one color pages and used 4 black ink cartridges and two sets of color ink. Every time I turn this printer on it goes through a cleaning cycle that takes about a minute to perform. It must be using a large amount of ink for this purpose. I'm going to get a different brand of printer next time. Soon!

Great Printer

Had this for about 5 years and it always works great. Great photos, Ink available from 3rd party makes it inexpensive. Auto scanner does books in no time [occasionally scns two pages at once], prints fast. I have owned at least 30 printers and this is best of them all. 5 HP's broke on me ans went to trash. Same with Epson. Cannot understand how others had so much trouble with this great printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought a bit less than 2 years ago. Worked fine with good quality for flyers. Probably averaged 250 pages a YEAR, not much more. Slow printer. Decent quality but got the dreded B200 code. Did work arounds and lasted a bit longer before final B200 code and no work arounds worked. Cost of new printer head is about as much as buying the same printer which is still available. I agree with other comments it seems like a built in 'end of life' code to get you to buy a new printer. I typically buy Brother printers as have found them more reliable for a much longer time and much heavier use, but didn't feel I needed a heavy use printer anymore as I am semi-retired. Should have bought a Brother again.

Poor quality printer

Printing has quit and cannot get it to print at all. Machine is on but unresponsive all of a sudden. We have turned it off, unplugged it, plugged it in after 5 minutes and turned on the printer. No good.

Bad Paper Jam
on September 13, 2020

Print quality is good. But this printer needs to be redesigned for better handling of paper jam situation. Paper Jam is a normal problem with any printer but this printer does not provide good accessible area to remove paper jam. If a paper is jammed inside, there's no good solution for most people to be able to take the paper out except brute force it from the bottom entrance, or from the exit near delicate print head. If the paper just happens to be jam right in between, there's no good accessible area to take the paper out.
