Parts Fell Out

I repeatedly tried to get someone locally to fix this printer to no avail. The cost quoted me was more than I could buy a working one on line. These are the parts that appear to have fallen out. I pride myself on being able to repair anything-this printer stumped me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I received the MX922 as a replacement from Canonwhen MX890 failed. Overall it is a decent printer, though a bit noisy and takes longer to warm up.
I liked having the two cassettes up front, and thought this an improvement until I had to print a #10 envelope. Then I had to take all the paper from the lower cassette because the upper cassette would not take a #10. Thinks causes an annoying interruption to workflow.
I also found that you could not load more than a few sheets of legal paper in the lower cassette because the cassette will only take letter size. the legal size paper goes over the outside of the cassette.

Very Good Product

I've had this printer for only a few days, but I'm very impressed. I have a Mac Pro and use the printer for home use only. The set up was very easy and only took about 15 minutes. Wireless has worked very well on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. Copies are clean and crisp. My only objection is the printing is a little slow, but for my use at home that is not a concern. I'd recommend this printer to anyone.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed

Excellent product!

Excellent machine, setup is easy if you READ and follow the steps, print quality is great and I can print from my windows phone and any other laptop at home. Is not a low profile machine but is worth the extra space.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

Works So Well, I Bought Two!

The Canon MX922 works so well in my home office, I bought one for my public office two weeks later! The inexpensive price, automatic document feeder, and automatic two-sided printing sold me immediately. The large, 250-sheet tray means I can put in a half-ream of paper about once a week and handle all my print jobs quickly. I love the AirPrint feature for my iPhone, iPod, and iPad, and it works well the first time I used it with each handheld device. When setting up the Scan Utility, give the Canon folks a call. I found them very knowledgeable at helping me set up the variables so that I can do one-click scanning. The Image Garden is a great tool for assembling scans the way I want them and eliminating blank pages.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

The printer was easy to install and started promptly. I was disappointed with the amount of time it took to begin printing compared to other printers I have used. Because I use the printer primarily for word, excel, email, and web documents, the photo capabilities are beyond my needs at this time. I still haven't been able to find a description of the menu and other functions on the front of the printer.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output
Cons: Slow Print Speed

Does not play with Linux; Fine with Win7

This printer/scanner is a fine product if you are only using it via a Windows-based computer. The scanner works fine, especially with the feed tray. Be advised that it does not "clip" the dead space around your scanned paper. The printer is likewise excellent. I've tested the fax, and it also works as advertised with no problems. Using the device as a standalone copier/fax is not a problem at all. However, if you are a Linux user, this device is virtually unsupported.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: no linux print drivers, no linux scan software

Disappointed long time Canon customer

This machine is a huge letdown from previous Canon printers. There is no rear paper feed which makes printing labels a long process. The paper trays are flimsy and feel like they will break relatively soon. The printer often hangs up and is "processing" for several minutes for no apparent reason--right when you need something printed quickly. Canon stopped listening to their customers when they designed this printer...
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Flimsy Construction, no rear paper feed
