Works very well. Replaces another canon that lasted through 8 years of heavy use. Print head finally gave out. Now we can print from Ipad easily and connect wirelessly on home network. Print quality is great and controls are easy so far. Looks to be a lot easier to scan docs than the old one.

Great Printer!!!

I owned a different brand printer before this, but went with this Canon because it printed to discs. I had a couple of minor problems which the tech on the phone took care of immediately. They were very friendly and I could understand them with no problem. (Americans) As with anything new, you have to work with it for a while to get used to the way it works. But I love it! I have recommended it to many people including people in my family.

good buy

I've had my printer for enough time to know that this is one of the best printers that I have ever had and I've had a lot of them. It does everything and is easy to operate. Print quality is excellent. It does use a little more ink than my other printers (I have 3) and it is slower, but it is also the best quality and has an ink saver option.

Love this printer. Prints fast. Photos are beautiful and the ink is dry before I can even pick up the picture. Dependable. I had it set up in 10 minutes. Wonderful

Printer quality is very lacking

Print quality gets worse as time goes on. Repeated nozzle cleanings to repair intermittent line to line smudged printing has not corrected the problems.

Nothing but problems wirelessly on Windows 10, which was the whole reason I bought it. My old Pixma wouldn't work in Windows 10. This one supposedly does, but it won't keep connected wirelessly. I'm about 1 meter from the wireless router that the printer is connected to. In order to get my documents out, I have to reboot, then the docs come out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work consistently

I have had this printer less than a year and it has worked consistently about 25% of the time. Constantly receives "printer busy by another computer" error message. The scan feature does not work by hitting the button on the printer itself. Constantly have to restart the printer to get it to print jobs in queue. Just too many issues to try and troubleshoot. I would not recommend.

Great 4-function printer

I'm a technophobe, but this printer, like its predecessor (850?) is reliable, easy to use, and virtually infallible. It's so great, I'm buying one for my sister this Christmas!
