I Got it (but I don't get the negative reviews).

I checked out recommendations on the Canon site, PC Mag, etc. and, ultimately, got this machine to replace my worn out Pixma 850. I've had no connectivity problems, and it's up and running (USB, Ethrnet, etc.). I'm not sure what the "slow" print and "noisy" comments are about. But, the 922 is performing, as advertised. If time affects my rating, I'll revise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Workhorse printer

Bought this printer late in 2013, soon after the printer's initial release as a SOHO multifunction device. It has worked fine for years and only now has given me any problem. It needs a new printhead, which is understandable after 4 years, as the printhead is not part of the ink cartridges, like on some other printers, and does wear out.
I scan documents almost as much as I print, so the multifeed input tray is invaluable. Colors are bright. Pictures are great on normal paper, even better on photo paper. It is no speed demon, but just works and works and works.
Considering the amount of use, it really has been a great printer. I am having it cleaned and the printhead replaced, and look forward to another 4 years of great service.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One of the best

This is my second MX922 and I have 2 other canon printers. Only use Canon now for business and home stuff. Has held up through both my wife and I as college students, my Graduate School and not for my Doctorate. Other than the noice level and mild over ink use issues cannot ask for a better midline printer. As with all printers you need to have a sold base for it to sit on. Do your self a facor and get a Canon.

I received this item free in exchange for a review, however, after looking up the price i found you get a lot more bang for your buck with this printer, as oppose to a cheaper non wireless with minimal cost difference. It took about 30 minutes to set up and the instructions make it easy. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone who works from home at all, or would just like the convenience of printing something from your phone to a printer without having to hook anything up.

Where does the ink go?

I would say this is a great product because it does print high quality, and it can fax, and the scanner is quite good, but I never have seen a printer go through ink like this. Maybe the cartridges are only partially full. I print maybe seven or eight small photos a high speed, low quality print just to keep the ink from drying, and the printer says that I'm low on ink. The cartridges are expensive. Plus, it takes a minute for it to even be ready to print.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second MX922 ang it's not the same!

I owned an MX922 for several years and it worked great. I bought a new one (now 3 months old) and it does not function the same. It always goes to sleep and I have spent hours and hours trying every suggestion out on the various support sites but nothing seems to work. I plan to toss this lousy printer and try another brand. Not worth my time anymore.

I do t even remember when exactly I bought it. But I believe has been more than 5 years and our Canon MX922 works great. Not complain about it. Copy, scanner, printer and fax. Great machine for us.

Terrible Printer

I've own this for quite awhile and I can tell you it's the worst printer I've ever owned I can turn it on and it will take 10 minutes to get ready and 10 minutes to scan anything and when I hit copy than printer I have time to get a coffee before it prints keeps saying processing please wait.
