Still learning features...

First of all, nothing comes with a manual anymore so you have to find your issue on line. This is my third Canon Pixma 922 but with each one it seems like they last less time. It seemed to take forever to wear the first into the ground with heavy home/medium office use. Luckily, I had warranties on the first two so they were simply replaced. This has a two year warranty that just gave out 6 months before this printer died--with a ton of ink already purchased...now to find the same model to be able to use the ink! Basically, this printer lasted 2.5 years with less use. Hoping for a better one next time.

Software on this printer is not very easy to use. After several months of owning this printer I got constant printhead errors.

I actually have 2 of these printers! Prints excellent pictures. Favorite printer ever. I have had mine for years and nothing has gone wrong with them yet!

The worst Canon printer

I have this almost 2 years. My husband made the bad choice to buy MX 922. It takes forever to warm up. It printed very slow. The ink also use very quickly and expensive to replace the ink. It is not worth the price

I bought two canon MX 922 printers after about three months one of them stop working, and hasn't worked since, sorry to say they are very expensive can't afford to buy another one, replacement parts are very hard to find

Had this MX922 printer for about 5yrs. Works great with my iMac. In fact got this because my last Canon printer wasn't compatible with my last Mac update.

Duplex Printing and Scanning!

I bought this printer on 05/20/2018 to replace my Pixma MX870 that I had since 2011 till a power surge fried it. As of now I've had my MX922 for almost 4 years and I can pretty much confirm it's the same printer as the MX870. It is a a reliable, functional workhorse. This features are amazing, scanning AND printing in duplex is something I am constantly using. I haven't faxed in a years, but it was an original need when I got it.
Print quality is Adequate - it's an inkjet so colors and pictures in documents are decent, but printing a photo requires top end photo paper, and you need to get the genuine ink. My biggest complaint with all canon Pixma printers is the speed to first page - the printer gets the info to print, then you can hear the rollers and print heads moving for what seems like an eternity. JUST PRINT!!
I don't bother trying to use the Scanning Button direct from the printer, but instead use a program on my laptop. Never had an issue with it, but trying to direct scan to a computer over WIFI seems to cause issues, if it's plugged in via USB it works fine, but who buys a wireless printer to use a USB plug?
Pros - Reliable, features, functionality, speed per page, print/scan from phone
Cons - Slow to start printing first page, needs high quality paper for images, Canon brand ink is expensive
