Prints nice

It was easy to set up for immediate printing of documents and photos. Love having the separate photo paper tray which our old Canon didn't have. Compared to the MX860 series we had to replace, it so much easier to access the ink cartridge's for quick and easy replacement. We ran out all but the small black ink cartridge; and it still printed until the ink reached a certain level, then we had to replace the empty ones in order to print again. The fax function of the MX922 is not user friendly in our opinion. We have no problem faxing documents just getting the machine to receive and print incoming documents. Had to go online and look up the very little instructions for setting up the fax to receive, so we'll see if we can finally receive and print incoming faxes. At first I wasn't happy with the color of the MX922; its dark and dust and finger prints are very visible and requires lots more cleaning. I have to admit as the first day progressed I fell in love with the sleek black and red combination, but not the extra cleaning. I've been using printer/fax machines for years and being able to change the settings/functions came easy, until this one. I'm not afraid to admit this inanimate object intimidates me whenever I have to change a setting/function, rest assured I will concur it. We have never purchased a printer/fax machine that did not come with a hard copy of the entire user manual for easy reference, having to go online to access the info is a pain. Overall we are happy with this printer.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Difficult to use, no hard copy user manual

we bought one, it broke within the first two days--the tray wouldn't pop back in properly and it made terrible noises. we replaced it with same printer and now, after a month, it is broken as well.. Have absolutely no desire to try to call Canon to figure out problem.
Plus is goes through ink like crazy
Pros: High Quality Output
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, unreliable, Flimsy Construction

i have had many other canon printers. i was extremely happy with those. had our mover not broken our other two pixma printers i would not have purchased this. (640, ?510) this one is temermentable. will not scan a document as of yet into my computer. i bought this because it had more features such as printing multiple copies at once, fax etc.. save your money it had just made it very temperamental, and slow. right now it will not work on my windows 7 without a cord because it will only show driver for my 8.1 save your money. in addition the ink cartridges are black so when it says low ink you cannot tell how low. i have ignored low ink signs and made countless more copies. then i order clear cartridge generic ink.
Pros: photos are ok
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, unreliable

Terrible product, impossible to manage settings

This product is pretty much the worst printer I've ever used. It guzzles ink like crazy and does not allow you to easily set which ink cartridge to use. Keeps using up magenta ink to print straight black documents instead of the black text cartridge. Gone through every printing setting, properties, and set-up options dozens of times and can't resolve this. So basically, terrible value and horrible in terms of user friendliness. Tried scanning documents and it basically took 30 minutes to try getting this to work and even then it doesn't place the scanned file anywhere readily accessible or allow the user to direct where the scanned file will go on the computer. Mucho bloatware installed that is unnecessary and not useful. I will be returning this printer.
Cons: everything about it

What's not to like!

I found this printer to be outstanding. It was a little noisy at first so I set it on quiet mode. Perfect! AirPrint works great. Printed a couple of DVD disc labels that look beautiful. Really clever the way the adapter is stored that holds the printable disks. It is nice that the print cartridge carriage is located near the front and it is easy to access. I am using the XL cartridges. I like the way the operational keys appear based on the task being performed. It really is a very modern design. Access to the paper cassettes is easy and convenient. What more can I say! I am a happy camper!
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

My Home Office Pixma 922 is awsome!

My Pixma 922 has been the best All-in-One multifunction device I have ever used in my home office. I have had no issues making it work seamlessly on both my wired and wireless network. It has been easy to switch my wireless devices that have been originally setup on the wireless network with the printer to switching them to the wired network so other computers that were not on the wireless network could connect and use the features of the product.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, Small Footprint, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use, easy to modify networks, easy to switch from wirless to wired on wireless d

Garbage!

Worst Canon printer ever and I've owned 3! Takes 20-60 seconds for first page to come out, with all kinds of whirring and chugging. Waste of time and money. STAY AWAY from this piece of garbage. I'll seriously consider leaving Canon because of this disaster. I don't care if this thing was free and I had no money for a printer; I'd still want to beat it with a sledge hammer.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, unreliable, Flimsy Construction

Wireless = Useless

If you have this directly connected to one computer via USB, the printer is okay. If you are using it wireless, it is awful: Constant disconnects while printing. Needs to be rebooted every time you want to use it--times out after a short period. Sometimes the only way to get it reconnected is to reboot the printer, reboot the router, and then reinstall the drivers! My network is fine--everything else works fine, but not the printer.
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, unreliable
