Underwhelmed

I typically have not had issues with canon products in the past and bought this printer only when my previous Canon multi-function printer stopped working. I eagerly awaited it's release and was one of the first to purchase it based on all of the hype, however...
I have had a great deal of trouble in getting it to function consistently with my apple products and to be consistently recognized on my network. I've had more error messages than I can remember. It did not meet my expectations at all.
Pros: dual paper trays, usb port is in the front
Cons: noisy, large dimensions, usb port is deeply recessed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent multi-function printer!

I used my last Pixma MX922 daily for duplex printing of documents up to 100 pages at a time. Also made full duplex copies from the sheet feeder on top and book and magazine and journal cover copies on the flat bed scanner then faxed or emailed PDFs of the scans. Prints from my phone made color perfect copies which I used for gifts and memories all around the home. I literally burnt the printer up after 3 full years of constant usage. Then got another one earlier this year and here we go again.

peace of junk - don't waste your time or money

bought nearly a year ago and have had problems with it - goes offline & difficult to get back on - cartridges are costly and require constant replacement even when not printing color. Don't waste your money

Can't View FAX report without Printing

This printer uses way too much ink regardless of the settings and WILL NOT use black ink only no matter what you do. Also, a big problem for me is the fact that you MUST print a FAX report and cannot view it from your PC screen. What a waste of ink.

Complete waste of money!

Bought this just over a year ago. Just out of the 30 days the wireless stopped working. Worked slowly but enough for me until a few months ago when it kept giving me a B200 code. I would have to turn off the machine, then wait and on again, and *sometimes* it would print. Recently, it quit completely. The ink cartridge carrier just stopped, saying it was jamming. Nothing I could do to fix it. Canon makes such a great camera, but I will be staying away from Canon for printers.

Second Canon printer I've owned (first was MX822) and this one sucks down ink like a leaky water bottle. Ink cartridges are insanely expensive and of course different so that my left over cartridges from the MX822 don't fit.
Wish I'd seen these other reviews before I bought this.
Won't be buying Canon again unless they solve the out of control ink cartridge expense.

Starts out great, but fizzles in the end

This printer got rave reviews in Consumer Reports.  It worked great for about 28 months, but I have run into all kinds of problems since - multiple error messages despite good cartridges, multiples cleanings (including the printhead twice), etc.  It probably is great for a small business with daily use, but uses way to much ink for casual home use - that's the hook.  You can get the printer cheap-enough, but it wastes a lot of ink during casual use so you pay a lot for the 5 ink cartridges.  I should have gotten a laser printer like I first intended rather than falling for this model.  I would not recommend it.

Awesome Print Quality

It took little longer for me to set it up but the print quality of photos is off the chart. I am really happy with the purchase and I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
