Horrible, Horrible, Horrible

We bought this to replace a previous Canon printer. This printer is no end of issues. Only complaints here, and a little bit of aggression towards the machine. Never works consistently, then when it does it is only luring you in to thinking you "solved" the problem, to not work again 5 minutes later after no changes!!

Stay Away - Paper Jame - End of Life

After 1.5 years encountered a paper jam 1312 and then 1311.
Once there s a paper jam the printer/scanner becomes useless. Can't even use scanner anymore due to a false paper jam... Again STAY AWAY..

TAKES FOREVER

This printer takes FOR-EH-VER to print. Literally over two minutes before it started printing after telling. It just sits there and does some internal workings. Plus, the drivers don't like certain Lenovo PC's. I've been in the IT field for almost 20 years and it took me hours to get the drivers to work. Then sometimes I have to reinstall them because it cant communicate properly with your wireless.

Simply awful

Very poorly designed. Has a paper tray under a door that flips open when you want to print. If you have to add paper, you are forced to close the door only to have it flip open again after you hit "Print." Annoying!
Drinks ink like mad! Very expensive to keep buying ink!
Likes to grab at least 2 sheets of paper at a time, which has been an expensive lesson to learn.Put a sheet of glossy photo paper on top of regular paper and it will pull 2 sheets leaving you with print on the regular paper - another waste of expensive ink.

Works until dies, won't last long

Bought two years ago. Worked fine. Until starting printing blank pages. Showing no error code. Tried deep cleaning and all other gimmicks from internet. Won't work. Seems that the printer has a kind of self-destruction code. I think that two years is the life expectation now for inkjet.

I have had to spend hours of time on this printer. It never works when I need it, and it almost always needs ink. Don't bother look elsewhere!

THIS PRINTER IS A BIG PIECE OF GARBAGE. I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO RE-DOWNLOAD DRIVERS, THE PAPER FAILS EVERY OTHER DAY IN RECOGNIZING THERE IS PAPER IN IT. I MEAN, IT IS ECONOMICAL, BUT YOU WILL WASTE HOURS TROUBLESHOOTING IT. THE SCANNER NEVER WORKS WIRELESSLY. NOT WORTH IT. NOT WORTH IT NOT WORTH IT.

Guzzles Ink!

This printer absolutely guzzles ink which, of course, is at a premium cost. We have had this for a few years as simply a personal computer printer. It's always out of ink!! I should think that Canon would be embarrassed and attempt to compensate. I bought Canon thinking it was a good name ... I won't do this again. We are retired and cannot afford to waste anymore money.
