Excellent all-in-one

I have had this printer since it was first released, and it's been an excellent experience. The print quality is great, and the feature set is amazing for the low price.
I purchased the printer because it has separate ink cartrides for each color, so you don't waste ink.
Highly recommend
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst printer I've ever used

I purchased this printer about a month ago and it's ridiculously noisy, so much so that I am unable to continue using it. Although I had much success with my former Canon PIXMA MX800 series, this model is flimsy (the front door hinge is already broken), and it makes loud grinding sounds in between printing. It's a piece of rubbish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Eats Ink like a pig and won't print even test page

This is one of the most frustrating printers I have ever owned. It goes through ink at a ridiculous rate, won's scan if there is no ink and now that it has ink it won't print any document, not even a test page. It keeps saying there is an error but it won't tell me what the error is. Soon this pig will be a flying pig as it exits a window.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slow, ink disappears when not in use, and freezes

I've had this printer for about three years and while it has some impressive features it doesn't do well for me on basic services. I use it intermittently and it seems to suck ink between uses. The My Image Garden App freezes, I get a lot of error messages and when it does seem to be working it takes a L O N G time to just even print something out. I wouldn't buy another.

Used lightly for a few years. They seem to have a problem with the print heads and only God knows how to get one. Canon wasn't much help. But I did buy another one, but partly because I had a lot of extra ink.When it was working it was incredible.

Excellent Machine But Not a Very Long Life

This is the second Canon PIXMA MX922 we have purchased, and its quality as an all-purpose machine is unsurpassed: printing, copying, scanning and faxing are all of very high quality, and we expect that will be the case for at least three years. We have had our previous machine for five years, and we discovered that at about three or four years the MX922 begins to print and copy less well: broken letters, missing lines, blurry double-printing of characters. Comments on on-line forums reveal that many users experience these problems. One commenter did discover a "fix" for printing, which is to set the choice of paper to "photo" while continuing to use regular paper. That restored the printing to good quality, but we were no longer permitted to print two-sided, and it did nothing to fix poor quality copying. So we decided to purchase a new MX922, and we are back to excellent results. The model is no longer easy to find, and we seem to have purchased the last one that Canon had in stock at the time. Though it has become more expensive, we think it has a modest price for so excellent a machine, even if we cannot anticipate a very long life for it.

A real work horse

Bought the MX 922 six and one half years ago. Heavy usage. No issues with this model other than it has a drinking problem (ink). :). Today the print quality is starting to show the age of the printer. No complaint. If I could find a new MX 922 I would buy it. Recommend this printer but it isn’t made any more.

A complete headache.

The printer itself when it works is pretty good and the printer looks nice with the red/black trim. Other than that, it's a nightmare. Most of the times the printer is not responding. Sometimes it just prints the same print over and over because it hung up from the software. I had this printer for 2 years and I got a B200 error message. I called support they said it's a printer head and the cost to replace it is the cost of the printer. I trashed the old MX922 bought a brand new one and within a week. I got the same B200 error message. Only reason I bought this printer again was because I bought extra ink cartridges already from the last one and need a printer that compatible with the PGI-250 XL ink cartridges. Probably one of the worst buys I've had as far as printers go.
