Very Disappointing

I’ve been using Canon printers for as long as I can remember and until the MX922 I’ve been extremely pleased and recommended to many people that they should buy Canon. Unfortunately my experience to date with the MX922 changes that. This printer is incredibly slow, the actual printing time is normal, however it takes a very long time “processing” a document. Even copying a document takes ages. In addition the printer is incredibly noisy, it seems to churn away before starting to actually print or copy, and after it has finally produced a copy it continues to make a lot of noise, this despite the fact that I’ve set it to always run in quiet mode. Also its connection to the network is very unreliable. It frequently loses the Wifi signal. Sometimes after a very long time it will find the signal by itself, more often than not, I’m in a hurry and have to turn it off and back on again to get it to reconnect. I “upgraded” from my old trustworthy MX860 because I wanted the functionality of AirPrint. Half the time I don’t even get that since the printer has lost the network connection and I have all the annoyances of this far less reliable model to deal with. All in all this is a very disappointing printer.

Cloud print feature is a nightmare to setup

Don't even think of using this with a Chromebook. It is almost impossible to setup.

Great All in one printer

I had this printer for over 2 years and it works great! I will agree with some of the 1 star reviewers but with a little troubleshooting I was able to connect to my internet (Wi-Fi). The photo printing I was getting lines but you have to download the canon app to my phone and iPad, input the settings such as type of photo paper and size. But I used all canon products with high quality. My pictures come out great! My printer works great.

General Feature/Design Issues for Printing Envelop

Am a loyal Canon printer customer. My recently purchased Pixma 922 series is a bit disappointing for printing envelopes. The back slot, found in Pixma previous printer models was excellent. One could print envelopes with ease. Not this model! Back slot for printing is excluded. AND the top slot only allows for scanning and faxing, not printing. Wish designers would have left the using as was!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Accurate color, nice photo prints.

I've had this for nearly a year now, and it has been the most trouble-free printer I've ever had. I do photography as a hobby. With my monitor calibrated, I can develop my camera raw files in Adobe Lightroom, and what I see onscreen matches the prints I get from this printer, and that's no small potatoes. Besides printing photos, I've also used it for printing on CD,DVD, and blu-ray discs, copying both one and two-sided material, scanning documents and images, even the occasional fax. It's really good as a low duty cycle all-in-one printer, and the price is fantastic. Very happy.

Printer really been excellent

I have had this printer for maybe a year now. It has worked flawlessly. I do not doubt the other's review concerning wireless connectivity. My printer has worked since the first day and has never disconnected on its own. The printer quality is great even in 'Fast' mode. I can't comment on the ink usage. Every printer I have ever had uses a lot of ink.
I would recommend this to a friend!
