the worst

By far the poorest performing printer I have ever owned. It seems to decided on its own when it will print and when it won't. I find that the WIFI configuration simply disappears from time to time and has to be reprogrammed. I try to print and nothing... then 15 minutes later it decides that it is ready and prints, or maybe not. I haven't been able to print a thing all night, I've reset everything, doesn't matter. I won't even talk about unsightly this black monolith is sitting on my desk, but I'm going to cut my losses and change to another brand. My last Canon printer ever.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Performance

I was excited at first, but the printer is slow and eats up ink. Now it will not print and it is only 4 months old.
It takes a long time to trouble shoot and in my opinion the amount of time it takes to print outweighs any cost savings.

MX922 scanning too complicated

I previously owned a PIXMA MX870 for 5 years which I was very happy with. The ink usage and costs were a problem but I don't usually print a lot so it wasn't that big a deal. When the infamous b200 code appeared, and it was time to buy a new one, the MX922 was advertised as the new and improved product, so I bought it. All the comments about taking forever to print and sounding like it was going to fall apart were true. My biggest issue was with the scanner and the related software. The MX870 was very intuitive to use, and I was able to customize my scans and do filework with no problem. I could not figure how to use the menus on the MX922 and felt it was way too cumbersome and overdesigned for the everyday user. I returned it within 2 weeks (store deadline) and looking for something better for the money.

this printer is horrible!

It works one day and not the next. It is too slow and eats up ink. Printer may work one day, but then scanner doesn't. If you need to print and scan at least twice a week do not buy this printer. It doesn't deserve 1 star.

I mainly print high-res photos, and with good paper, and generic inks, it works quite well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
