Was good for 1 1/2 years

We were not concerned about how long it took to print something, but it can be annoying. Worst is that it no longer prints using the large black cartridge. Followed cleaning steps online for the printhead with no results. Very disappointing to have a printer that only works for less than two years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I BOUGHT THIS PRINTER AWHILE AGO AND IT HAS WORKED FINE AT TIMES. NOW, IT WILL NOT PRINT BECAUSE IT IS SELECTING THE WRONG PAPER TRAY AND I CAN NOT FIX IT.

I'm Being Hopeful

This is a replacement for my Pixma MX860 that crashed after five years. I came back to Canon because their service dept is excellent and in the States. Right off, the setup was pretty easy accept for this business of pressing the WPA button which instructionally is poor. Thats a button on your router not the printer. Took awhile to figure that out. The ink cartridges leaked all over me. I was glad I didn't have on my good clothes. Bummer. Rest of setup was easy except the Fax, I could send by not receive due to a setting change I didn't know about. Printing is suppose to be faster but feels slow. Printer is noisy. I understand there's a quiet filter but I haven't found that out yet. Manual is online now, so I have no book to pick up and turn to this time. We'll see how this experience goes.
Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: Flimsy Construction

Wirless no longer working

Purchased the MX922 March of 2013. This week the wireless printing will not function. Have not changed any settings of my router, or computer. Did update the firmware of the printer, but same problem exist. Have been a loyal Canon printer customer. This was my 5th canon printer. That has ended. Will be purchasing a competitors printer after sending this review.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable, Flimsy Construction

Good enough

Print speed is actually quite fast, just slow to start the print job from the time of entry. Also fairly noisy, which is not a problem for me, but might be for someone in a different environment.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, High Quality Output, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, seems to use expensive ink quite rapidly

I am only writing this review on the MX922 relative to the installation process, as I have not had extensive use of the machine as of this writing. The installation was too difficult for the beginner, as the manual and instructions were not targeted to the beginner. Canon needs to do a simplified manual with step-by-step instructions for the home user that is not technical savvy. In Canon's favor, after several calls to their support team, the printer is now up and running. The support team was easy to reach, very polite and helpful.
Cons: Difficult Setup

Good Price to value

This is my 3rd canon printer. Unfortunately, prior 2 got mechanic issue that force me to get a new one. I still pick Canon. This one got more features and the air print is one of the attractions.
Pros: good printing qualify, price is reasonable with features included, auto doc feeder, ease to install with little search around, ink is less expensive
Cons: ink is more expensive than older version, only one paper cassette compare with mx860/870, additional cassette is for special paper only, software for scan is not ease to use

Too complicated to work easily

This thing is a challenge to do the basic: simple printing. It's "online", then it's "offline", then it's "not responding"
"Help" is a waste of time, resulting in hours of run around.
I would not buy it again...........
