Dont Buy

tried to print some photos and the only thing this does is make black lines through all of my photos. tried cleaning 6 times, calibrated 2 times, deep clean 2 times. Still produces horrible lines

Excellent Printer, Excellent Value!

I've had this printer for about two years now, and it's been a real performer. I've used it for everyday print, color photos, two-sided prints, copies, two-sided copies, faxes, flatbed photo scanning, you name it.
One of the neatest features on this printer is that is has an auto-duplexing auto document feeder - it sure makes life easier when dealing with two-sided copies. Of course, it can print on both sides of a paper as well. This is the best multi-function printer I've ever had, hands down.

Much Worse Than Ancient Cheaper MX410

This printer is so slow I think something is wrong. Eventually something might print, but not always. Too slow, noisy. Lost all respect for Canon. Would not buy another Canon. They trick you into having to buy 2 black cartridges.

Wireless printing is a breeze and saved me on more than one professional shoot. Paper is easy to manage and trays are even easier to understand. Print quality is superb with 0 issues from any color gamut. This really is a simple to use printer for the prosumer. Excellent job, Canon!

Incredibly slow

This device is incredibly slow, the scanning, printing, and warmup. I kept thinking there was something wrong. The scanner and printing, once done, were very good. The software was just ok. The "quick menu" is so loaded with icons (including the image garden even when not installed), that its no longer quick. This is the second time that I have bought a Canon printer over the years and have regretted both of them.

Full of issues

I have been experiencing the issue within couple of months, when I called tech support they didnt offer any replacement. just tired of this printer, I am small business owner and have used almost all known brand, but this is disaster. Network never stay connected, Auto adjustment takes literally 5-7 minutes before it start printing. Now new issue, color print doesnt print color anymore. I am almost about to throw this in Garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer

I have owned two of these and they are great. However, there are many people that don't read the manual and blame problems on the machine when they are at fault. This machine can do a lot of things that are saved for more expensive machines such as two sided printing,scanning and fax. The ink is less expense since you can buy one of 5 colors by them selves instead of buying the all in one ink. A month a go my printer was not printing it went though all of the usual steps but no ink went on the paper. After hours of trying to do it I went and bought another one. Before I opened the box I read the owners manual and it told me how to fix it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
