Disposable Printer

I have had this printer for about 3 years. The first printer had issues within the first month. Canon was very helpful and replaced it. Over time, I have always had connectivity issues where I would need to reconnect to the wifi between uses. Over time I have also had many issues where it has told me there was an error and I needed to contact service. I've usually been able to disconnect the power and reset the printer, but this last time I could not. Since it is no longer under warranty, it is not worth repairing. I have replaced it with another Canon printer, cautiously. If I remain a Canon customer remains to be seen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer

The printer was easy to set up, only took me 15minutes. It prints wi-fi from my I-Pad, cell phone and even my Kindle fire. Connected to my devises buy just hitting the print button and choosing the printer model. Great looking photos print fast and quite. For the price it is a great wi-fi printer, hardly ever have to turn on the computer anymore.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

Incomplete Install

Bought this to share with my older desktop and my new laptop. Had to understandably download drivers to the old desktop to complete the install but the printer still will not print from the older desktop. It is USB connected. So now to my new laptop. I installed the software (twice) and it stalls at 85% completion. It will print from any document or window but I cannot access any menu items for the printer. I called the tech support number but the "tech" does not know how to fix the problem. Very disappointing. As consumers, we would not mind paying a little more for something as long as it works. Will review again if I get this working.
Cons: Difficult Setup

Great printer with minor quibble

This printer is fast, scans and copies are fast and detailed and my desktop and iPhone / iPad print via Wi-Fi very easily with this printer. Before purchasing the MX922 I compared to a few other multi-function printers that could print on CD/DVD discs (one of my priorities) and I read some reviews about this printer that complained about print speed, print quality, a display screen that isn't a touch-screen and an overly bright blue stand-by light. I experienced none of these problems and the complaint about the blue light seems picky. My only complaint was the lack of documentation to perform disc printing. After two calls to Canon support, I downloaded the proper software program that makes disc printing easy. This printer is way better than the printer it replaced in both speed and print quality.

Don't judge a book by its cover

Purchased the MX922 under Canon's exchange program when my MX860 died. While this printer is supposed to be an upgrade over previous models, it is in fact a step backward. The design of the unit is attractive and more durable. However, the print quality is exceedingly poor. The machine is noisier, and the delays in printing are much longer. The online manual is of no help, and does not even match the printer. Change is sometimes good, but no so in this case.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Low Quality Output, noisy

Great printer

Had to return three printers from another mfg. due to poor quality. This is my first Canon printer. The picture quality is outstanding. Somewhat complicated for scanning and copying until you have used it a few times. So far loving it..
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Large Footprint, technical help only during the week. no weekends, help only until 7pm west coast

Waste of money

I paid quite a bit for this printer and have had problems with it from the beginning. The ink cartridges are expensive and don't last long. I have maybe printed 100 pages and the print head is no longer working even after multiple deep cleanings and cartridge replacement. Save your money. The best printer Canon ever made was the Pixma ip3000 and I think they quit manufacturing it because it lasted forever and you could refill the cartridges easily rather than having to buy new ones.

The Only Issue I Have With The Printer Set Up Is The Wireless Application:: It Took A Couple Of Try's To Get It To Go Wireless I Had To Call 1-800-OK Canon And Let Them Walk Me Trough The Setup, But I Finally Got It Working To My Satisfaction::In The Future, I Would Recomend And Owners Manuel To Show Diffrent Features:: But Overall, It's A Great System!!!!!
