Within a year or so, the power supply failed. Same thing happened to my earlier MX920. Great features. Poor quality

I have had this printer about three years now and it never fails to print. It uses the cheapest ink I can find and never fails to find my network after a power outage; things my HP printers would never do. Highly recommend this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Functions well - If you can get it connected

Wireless connectivity is a nightmare. The setup may go well. Then after a day or a month the printer disappears from the network. I just spent a total of 4 to 6 hours following all steps and tricks suggested to reconnect the printer to my simple home network. It is finally connected. God only knows when I'll have to go through all of that again.
Once connected, the device performs very well.

Using a lot of ink

Very large footprint. Would be okay if ever figured out the features. Use to make copies and print out documents. Have never figured out how to scan anything in so can "work" on it. Do not use the "garden" because cannot figure it out. For printing does just fine but too large for only that function.

Very nice printer

Just got the MX-922 so not a lot of experience. Will review again in a couple of months and after determining ink costs. Setup was fairly straight forward. You will have to determine the name and password for your wireless network. I had forgotten mine so I had a minor hassle recovering it. The rest was a breeze. I have printer out a few documents and made some copies. All looked great. There's a bit of a learning curve to fully using all the features but that's to be expected. The manual is poor. If you are not comfortable logging in to your router for instance, you may want to get a computer literate person to help.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Cons: Large Footprint

Worst Purchase Ever

This is by FAR the worst printer I have ever used. Even when hardwired to the computer, it loses connection constantly- in fact I've come to expect that it won't print on the first try. It's as if it completely disconnects itself when it goes to sleep. I'd only be taken off guard if it printed without malfunctioning somehow (and I don't remember the last time it did). The wireless is worthless. Before printing, it takes forever to warm up. After it prints anything, it continues to make noise for about ten minutes. I am in awe that this printer has not been recalled- I can't believe it made it through testing. It is THAT bad. Canon, I want a new printer.

Connectivity an issue

The printer, when it works, prints well. It is, however, very moody. Connectivity is lost for no aparent reason. Resetting and restarting sometimes works and most time it does not work. I am an IT professional and my house office uses iPads, iPhones, iMacs, MACBook Pros, and Windows machines.
Even when I connect via USB it does not always works correctly ... it is doesnot recgnize the connection.

POOR DESIGN

IT USE ALOT,ALOT,ALOT,ALOT OF INK, IT GOES INTO SELF TEST CONSTANTLY AND MY CUSTOMERS HAVE TO WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT FOR THE PRINTER TO PRINT OUT INVOICES. WHAT A STUPID DESIGN. WHEN COLOR INK ARE LOW, THE FAX WILL NOT PRINT FAX. SO ALL THE FAX THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO COME IN , I HAVE TO NOTIFY THEM I DIDN'T RECEIVED IT. I DIDN'T KNOW THEY PUT THIS STUPID FEATURE IN IT UNTIL I CONTACT TECH SUPPORT. PAPER GET JAM A LOT EVEN WITH LASER PAPER WHEN USING FAX
