Printers from most manufacturers used to work very well. Seems quality has now hit bottom.

I was previously a proponent of Canon inkjet printers before purchasing an MX922 for myself and recommending that a family member and and a friend should buy one each because of my previous positive experiences with Canon printers. We all purchased them at nearly the same time, approx a year and a half ago. Now all three are experiencing similar problems; The print head has begun to fail to the point where the printer is unusable. I have cleaned all three print heads multiple times (I've used the automated cleaning feature and physically removed it and flushed it out) with little to no success. I would say that the printer use ranges from low to moderate use for each one. They neither sit idle for weeks at a time, nor do they run multiple pages through them daily.
When coupled with the print head issues and the extremely slow startup/print speed, which is unacceptable, I would not recommend this printer to anyone at any price.

Good printer quality

But the printer always goes offline for people with Windows 10. My husband has older version of Windows and it works fine. I have to uninstall and reinstall printer drivers regularly. I usually end up sending printing needs to husband and he printers them. I have not found any help online either. The problem is well know but no fixes that have helped me solve my problem. Ink is also costly.

Don't even think about trying to print Avery 5144 Name Badge Labels. This printer does not support the size 2 1/3 x 3 3/8 sizes. I just bought this piece of **** and its the very first printer I have ever had problems with. Should have known the price was to good to be true.

Worst combined printer/scanner I've ever owned.

This looked like a good deal but I've struggled with it for 6 months. I've had a number of printers, scanners and combo machines over the last 20 years, not to mention the ones I've used at work. This one is the worst. The user interface is needlessly confusing. It is not intuitive. Scanning photos into JPG files hasn't worked. As soon as it needs ink again, it's gone. Going back to my old, reliable brand.

Horrible printer

We've had this printer for a year or two, now. I cannot recommend it. We have always had Epsons, which print well and last forever (our last printer was 10 years old!). We switched because of the cost of the ink. Bad mistake.
We struggle to print anything. When it does work, the print is usually nice, crisp and professional looking. BUT...an hour of fiddling anytime you want to print anything? And the effort to print a legal-sized page is just bizarre. I can't recommend it. I'm going to throw it away and buy a new Epson.
