It's a printer

I've had this for a couple years and it does the job. It prints correctly. It uses ink fast and if one color is out, it refuses to print in black and white. It connected to both networks I've had it on with some headache, but successfully.
I'm a hobbiest artist and I've used this to print onto stickers. This takes forever to dry and is annoying, but it worked.
Overall I don't know what to say. It works.

I AM NOW ON MY FOURTH MX922 IN ABOUT A TEN YEAR PERIOD. I DON'T KNOW THAT I WILL BE HAPPY WITH SOMETHING THAT I AM FORCED TO REPLACE IT WITH WHEN THAT TIME COMES. I AM A SERVANT OF THE LORD WHO IS A MEDIA SPECIALIST AND I COULDN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU OF THE GREAT NUMBER OF CDs/DVDs THAT I HAVE PRINTED WITH CHURCH SRERVICES, GOSPEL MUSIC, AND BIBLE TEACHING OVER A THIRTY YEAR PERIOD. MY CHURCH, NOR MYSELF, HAVE EVER HAD A BIG BUDGET BUT THE MX922 (PREVIOUSLY THE MX920) HAS MET OUR NEEDS. TRUE, IT ISN'T THE FASTEST PRINTER TO BE HAD, BUT IT IS IN THE MINORITY OF ALL PRINTERS THAT ALL YOU TO PRINT DISK MEDIA FROM A HOME/SMALL OFFICE INKJET PRINTER. IT BOTHERS ME TO SEE SUCH A LOW RATING FOR THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE FINEST PRINTER THAT I HAVE EVER OWNED - NEEDLESS TO SAY COST EFFECTIVE AND DEPENDABLE.

I Hate This Printer

Trying to get this piece of junk to connect to my wireless LAN is futile. Printer says it's connect but I can't print. I've been working on the installation for at least 2 hours. What a waste of time. Don't buy this printer

Don't buy this if you want to print envelopes or single checks often. You have to unload the paper from the paper tray, adjust the paper holders (difficult) and then insert your envelopes and checks, and then do the reverse when you reload the regular paper. Buy a printer that has a open paper feeder instead of a tray.

Canon Pixma MX922- PAPER LOADING DIFFICULTIES

I currently own a PIXMA MX922 printer/copier/scanner/fax that I bought for home use. The only thing for which I am currently able to use this equipment is as a scanner. I don't have the need to make copies on a regular basis in my home, so it has taken a bit for me to realize that it has a paper loading issue that seems to be never ending. I tried to research the issue online and found there to be others with the same problem. The rollers just don't seem to be reaching the paper and I have had to struggle with this since my purchase.
I buy a high quality Hammermill copy paper, but the paper is definitely not the issue. It is the machine. Not sure what is wrong with it and I have heard that others loaded a different driver for the device and it seemed to work better--possibly made the rollers reach for the paper differently than before(?). Could this be true and if so, what driver is that? My PIXMA says it has the latest software loaded and I am unsure of how to go about finding this other driver that might be out there to save the day for me.
The quality of copies has never been an issue. They are what I would expect out of Canon, but the mechanics of the machine just aren't up to par. I have had to literally try to thrust paper back toward the rollers while they are attempting to load just to get a copy to print and usually at a most inopportune moment, of course. I can have the paper tray loaded, the guides in correct position, and it will still tell me to load paper--that the tray is empty. What a disappointment! If anyone has any help for me, it would be greatly appreciated, as my son will be starting classes soon, and he will need a printer to be in our home.

Worst. Printer. Ever

I had a Canon MX850 which was an absolute workhorse, I still have it as a backup to the network printer in my office.So thought I'd do well to update to the 920 a few years ago. I bought two due to unbelievable price. I threw the first one off my second story deck a year ago at 1:00 a.m. after hours of frustration. The second one may follow shortly. As others have noted, it constantly disconnects from the wifi. It does not give you an onscreen out of ink notice, so if you're in another room, you don't know until you find your work hasn't printed. It takes literally multiple minutes to "process" after changing the ink (which it needs way too often) or adding paper. Tired of holding my breath if I need a quick print for work. Will never buy a Canon again.

THIS IS MY SECOND MX922. BOTH UNITS CRAPPED OUT AFTER 2-3 YEARS OF USE. CLAIM IS TOO COSTLY TO REPAIR! DAM THINGS GUGGLE COLOR INK WHEN PRINTING BLACK AND WHITE DOCUMENTS ONLY!!! WELL SINCE YOU DONT CARE I GUARANTEE NO MORE CANON PRODUCT FROM ME NOR MY FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES!!!!.
