Disappointed In G20

I purchased the G20 camera as a replacement to my Vixia HF M52 camera (which was stolen) with the hopes of an upgrade in video quality. Although this camera has may 'bells & whistles (that I have little or no interest in), the video quality is no better than HF M52 which has a much lower price-point. Some of the controls, primarily witching from Manual to Auto is extremely difficult...
The most disappointing was the fact the supplied software does not allow for Blue Ray authoring, which I was able to do with M52. The conversion from HD video files to Standard definition DVD produced a very low resolution DVD.
In short, there is nothing wrong with the G20 camera, except the software package it is bundled with. But it is not worth the value compared to M-series camcorders for the additional cost.

Best camera ever

This is a perfect camera. It has perfect display and focus on you and everything around you
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Easy Computer Connectivity, Great sound/audio, Accurate, Vivid Colors, Compact Design, excellent image quality, durable, Good Software Compatibility, Ergonomic/comfortable to hold, Easy TV Connectivity, easy to use
Cons: Poor Color Reproduction

Canon HF G20

Purchased the Canon HF G20 on June 7. Got it in the mail three days later. I was impressed with what I saw. Good quality image. It also come with a remote which is cool because you can now have options. The only thing I was disappointed about was the touch screen panel. You have to press down hard if you wish to select a button.

Less than expected - my old camera was better. This camcorder is over rated and not a good value for the price.
Pros: Ergonomic/comfortable to hold, Easy TV Connectivity
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance, Difficult Computer Connectivity, Short battery life, Poor Color Reproduction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Camera, needs 1fps, for animation 9fps and 56fps for slow motion, how about a interval timer.
what ever happen to second audio track for background music and easy dial and control to use the features . You need to go to the past to perfect the future remember the super 8 1014xl

Needs a microphone mount and an XLR mic input.

We get good images from this camera but I am used to a camcorder upon which I can attach a microphone -- a big shotgun microphone, and I like an XLR input not a wimpy mini-jack that tends to lose its grip. My son uses a separate audio recorder device when he shoots, but I like to hand hold a complete package of camera and microphone.

CAMCORDER HAS A PHOTO TAKE ON THE TOUCH SCREEN. VERY BAD FOR TAKING SNAPSHOTS OR WHEN TRYING TO GET A STILL WHEN VIDEOING.

SOFTWARE IS VERY USER UNFRIENDLY. ESPECIALLY HAVING TO USE TWO SEPERATE PROGRAMS FOR VIDEO AND IMAGES. WILL NOT ALLOW PUTTING IMAGES ON A DISK OR ANYTHING EXPECT PRINT AND UPLOAD TO A WEBSITE. I REPLACED A BROKEN CAMERA AND WISH I HAD NOT PURCHASED THIS CANON PRODUCT.
