Don’t buy it.

My husband purchased this for me in may 2023 it wouldn’t turn off last Thursday. I called kitchenaid. They will send another one and I have to box this up and send it back. I asked if I could have a refund they won’t do that. They said it had shipped last Friday. This is Tuesday aug 15 I called again. Still hasn’t shipped. I had previously had a bowl lift had to send it back motor issues. I’m too old to keep boxing these up and sending them back. I have no choice as they won’t refund your money. I have since found many articles people complaining about their mixers and service. I told them this morning I will never buy another of their products. I have no idea if I will even get a replacement. We live on social security it’s hard for us to be out this kind of money and it was a gift from my husband. I wouldn’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money on this mixer

I purchased this model and it was delivered last week. I went to make bagels (using 3 1/2 cups of flour) and the machine stopped kneading. The motor runs but the attachments don’t spin. The locking mechanism did not work and kept popping up while mixing, and the lever to switch speeds was so tight and difficult to move. I had previously owned a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer for 21 years and replaced it with this newer model. Unfortunately, it’s crap. Best Buy is sending out a new mixer. Hopefully the new mixer will work. Best Buy Customer Service was great!

During the Christmas season I bake dozens of cookies - for years I have used a hand mixer. This year I decided to invest in a Kitchenaid - WOW, I am so glad I did! The performance is wonderful - my advice is to spend the extra money for the Artisan model with the splash guard. It really keeps your work surface clean.
What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: the weight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had a large KitchenAid stand mixer for the past 30 years (the model with the arms that lift the bowl up to the beater head). It was starting to slow down finally, so I got the new Artisan version that had about the same wattage as the old one. The Artisan seems to have the power to do the same things, but the head unit that tilts up does not lock into place as securely as I would have expected. It tends to bounce up and down when it is doing the tougher jobs. I'm sure it will be a fine mixer for the every day stuff, and occasional really tough jobs I give it, though. My advice would be that if you do a lot of the really tough jobs, get the kind that does not have the tilt-up head.
What's great about it: Power, value for the $$, confidence in the KitchenAid brand
What's not so great: The locking mechanism doesn't keep the head down as well as I would have expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is somethiong I have always wanted. All the mixings turn out just right. I have always had trouble mixind dough, but not with this mixer. It comes out spot on. It is the most prized procession in the kitchen.

What's not so great: Nothing so far,and I dont expect anything to go wrong.
